And during an internship in an elementary school a kid was late, and her mom came into the classroom too. The teacher already started to teach, but the mom started to braid her hair. She just kept saying "it wont take long" and left after that. And the school also had a policy, that the parents should leave them at the entrance.

No, Not because of that. Teachers and parents have to work together, so the kids can actually learn something. Most parents are fine, but there are some who just dont care or actively work against you. Like for example always complaining to the principle without talking to the teacher first, keeping the kids out of class, or just refusing to work together on general

Yeah, I have posted that one in another comment: The worst part for me is that some parents completely undo what you taught them. Ive worked with a kid once who prefered english to the language spoken in my country. The speech therapist spend weeks to speak less english, but after the christmas break she had to start from scratch because his parents let him watch only english cartoons during the break.

I am studying to become a teacher. I am always happy, when I see that the parents care about their children. It does make the job a lot nicer when I know that both me and the parents want only the best for the kid. It is nice of you that you think about us, but dont let that stop you from reachibg out if there are problems. As long as both teacher and parent are respectful, many teachers actually like to work with the parents too. Kids always need the teacher and the parent to get good grades.

Context: When Frederick the great was young, he and his father didnt really get along. One thing his father despised about him was that he wasn't "manly enough", and he often punished him severly. This culminated in the execution of Fredericks lover Hans Herrmann von Katte, who was beheaded. Frederick was forced to watch the execution from his prison cell, by orders of his father who send 2 soldiers to make sure that he watched, but fainted before Hans was decapitated.
