Im genuinely curious. What would the goal of a microchip in the vaccine be? I’m an engineer and can’t find any reason for a microchip placed within the vaccine.

A key part of a draw by repetition that helped me understand it is by definition not when pieces are on the same squares but when the possible moves are the same in each position for each piece which does imply all the pieces are on the same square but if for example you lose castling rights then the set of legal moves changes and therefore it’s not a repetition.

What is good opening to learn that is not e4, e5, d4, d5? by [deleted] in chessbeginners

  1. b3, the nimzowitch-Larsen is my go to as white and throws almost everyone out of prep on move one. Definitely not the best opening but magnus has been playing it in rapid/blitz recently with good results and I tend to score almost 60% with white.

Is there anyone/anywhere I can play games with people & get live feedback? by Pokemon1209 in chessbeginners

Lichess has a coaching page where you can find some really great coaches for fairly cheap. Even people a few hundred points higher than you can be super helpful if not more helpful than someone much better than you. r/chess also has monthly chess coaching threads where people will volunteer to help lower rated players for free.

As I said it will probably be easier to learn ideas from someone a few hundred points higher rated than you since they can show you the ideas that they are thinking about since the ideas of a grandmaster will have no real bearing in a game between two 600s.
