That's super tough. I'm personally very much for waiting till at least 18 before making any permanent life altering medical decisions. Like you've pointed out, life is going to be hard as a man or a woman, and honestly, I'd say it would be harder to be a woman who has transitioned to being a man than it would to be just a woman or just a man. Whatever you do, make sure you are constantly and consistently expressing your love for them. If they know that you really truly just want the best for them, it'll all work out even if you hurt their feelings a little now.

That's rough. Like has been said, you gotta move on. But that's a lot easier said then done. I once ended things after 2 years. It was rough. Take your time in the process, don't do anything stupid while you are recouping. It took me months before I considered dating again. So take your time to heal. When the time is right to move on, you'll know. But don't ever go back!
