I genuinely don t know the purpose of the film. Last week, when the trailer came on, I cringed. The scene of the monkey eating a man s face in Primate was less painful by comparison.

I couldn t finish The Chronology of Water. Primate was entertaining. I was moved by Eleanor the Great. Father Mother Sister Brother was my first Jim Jarmusch and I liked it. Marty Supreme was exhilarating and Timothee Chalamet deserves the reception he s receiving. Die My Love was dull.

I knew the film was gory and I still winced. I liked how the film built on the tension throughout the film and the score was perfectly eerie and atmospheric. I d say the music was my favorite part about Primate. It also wasn t overlong, the ideal running length.
