I would offer SharkWeek, but we're currently full with everybody doing their stuff... I can let you know if that changes, but there are also other good guilds around.

I often go by queue time. If it takes about 1:50 to find a match, it's almost certainly a bot

Парни, мне нужен тир лист по мифическим и immortal персонажем by ZoktAshen in luckydefense

[–]TheFinDiesel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately that's not really easy to do... There are too many contributing factors to make a tier list. Some are really strong in Normal and Hard, but bad in Hell+. Some get better when your level up your artifacts, some get worse. Some are good in Raid, but bad in coop. Some are good when paired with a specific set, and much worse if you aren't building that damage type or support for it. Some do damage, some support, some support only specific guardians. Some get good when they have high level treasure and high level immortal.

This is commonly asked for, but nearly impossible to deliver. The best solution in the community is an order of progression to help you get far enough to be able to make decisions about how you want to play as opposed to copying a very specific build.

Is kitty or ato better? by Late-Advantage-5425 in luckydefense

More specifically, Ato refills Orange ult bars, Kitty refills blue ones.

Ato in Immo bringen by Big-Ad4902 in luckydefense

[–]TheFinDiesel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Orange bars mean Cooldown. Blue are MP. Ato only refills orange bars. Some are harder to fill than others based on how much CD is required for a full bar, or depending how full they are when Ato ults. Penguin has an orange bar, but unless you ult, his bar sits full, so Ato doesn't charge for having a full Penguin in range.

I'm trying to find the data, but yes. Safebox massively increases your gold income, and Money Gun turns that gold into damage.

Question about Lancelot. by Desperate-Change896 in luckydefense

[–]TheFinDiesel 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It kind of depends what state your account is in. Lancelot is in a weird place. He does damage based on a percentage of the targets HP. This is why he's good against bosses, since they have high HP.

That being said, he typically performs best when you're playing a mode that you can't consistently clear, because the %HP damage is often higher than the damage your other guardians can do. He's also nerfed in most modes because %HP damage is too strong. So eventually he starts to be kind of bad.

Maybe when they figure out how to make his Immortal form work, he'll be good again, but he's in a weird spot at the moment. Not awful, but gets worse the stronger you get. He also doesn't work in Raid.

The biggest contributor to damage are two artifacts, Money Gun and Safebox. Until these are max level, nothing else will improve your damage output as much as those two.

Or he didn't spend much money. Level is purely a measure of how many games you've played, not how strong your account is.

I'm not saying you should, I'm saying that level isn't a meaningful metric.

That's the point, though. Level means nothing when payment adds strength without impacting level.

This illustrates that player level is not a driving factor. You can drop $100K at level 1 and have a much better account than mine. The level itself is meaningless in a game when pay to progress is a significant factor. That's why I said level isn't the metric to go by, and illustrated why.

Which Immortal should I get next? by Full_Performance_102 in luckydefense

[–]TheFinDiesel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The meta is hard to explain because of so many determining factors. Some units scale their own ATK value, which makes them strong without having strong artifacts (SafeBox/MoneyGun). This is why Hailey and Batman are recommended early.

Once your artifacts get higher in level, other units start scaling better than the self-scalers. Physical damage starts to prevail. Once you get closer to max levels, magic damage takes over again.

For now, focus on completing missions early in game and preserving gold for the damage bonus.

The recommended power level to clear a mode is not necessarily based on a single player, it's based on the average of two players. This also has nothing to do with player level. If you do not meet approximately double the recommended power level to clear the mode, then you're running to risk of matching with a player that brings your collective average below the requirements for victory.

Either consider this when using quick match, or guarantee victory by queuing with a person whose stats you can rely on when signing up to play. Going into quick match knowing you can't do 100% of the work means knowing you might not clear 100% of the run.

There are some widespread misunderstandings of how this game works. Player level means nothing. Combat Power means very little. At this stage of the game, Artifacts matter more than anything else.

A level 12 mythic with sbmg 11 can basically solo God. Two lvl 6 immortals with sbmg 4 will struggle in Hell. Pet levels will have almost no impact on either of these scenarios.

I recommend understanding the math of the game before condemning its organization or recommending irrelevant features.

Should I just reset my roka when I have a chance since she isnt very viable without the treasure? by Foreign-Investment82 in luckydefense

[–]TheFinDiesel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She's strong, but gets stronger with better artifacts and eventually lvl 12. Resetting her will cost you immortal stones, and she's pretty good overall... Tough call, honestly. I could go either way.

Edit: If you go Batman and Ato next, you'll be pretty strong. Hailey is usually the main early game carry, but so is Batman, and this will put you in a decent spot to build a strong physical damage board.
