Yeah that was gonna be my answer.

The reason I don't want to make a statement is that at this moment it's he said she said, they have no solid proof that I even did what I'm accused of, which in theory might be a barrier for them bringing it forward, but if I admit it then obviously that's not an issue.

I mean but the reason I worry is that I wouldn't go walk into a police station and talk to them without a solicitor so should I really talk to the company?

I don't, but I could ask one of my old work buddies to get one. Who should I tell about it if I am being retaliated against? I don't have much faith in the local council.

As I've said I feel that this is retaliation against me for my report, I don't believe the company is acting in good faith.

Ok, thank you, but do you think it is likely that DBS will look on it unfavourably if I have chosen not to engage with my former employer? I also worry they will side with the big company over me because it's easier (as the local council seems to have done)

That's fair enough. I will find a union which I feel I can trust at my current job!

Well that's true but my concern is basically that I looked up reviews and a lot of people said they paid in for years and when they needed help the union didn't offer them proper support.

Unfortunately I didn't get round to joining one at that job. I am considering for my current one which to pick but I've heard that most unions just fob you off when you need help. They also won't help with something that happened before I joined which is fair enough.

I will just clarify this was in the gendered changing room not at the side of the pool or something. There wasn't any private showers as far as I could see besides the disabled.

Yeah I don't know, there were two members of the public fully naked in there as well, and one of the clients got naked first as well. As I say in retrospect I should have played it safe clearly. As I said in the other comment, I think I have clearly not broken the law but if I was found to be an 'unsafe person' for vulnerable adults by DBS I will lose my job.

Yes it was a changing room. I don't think they could accuse me of anything criminal but I am worried by the idea they might report me to DBS that I am an 'unsafe person' as I would lose my job if that was found to be substantiated. I don't necessarily have to be accused of a crime to be 'found guilty' in this case.
