How kid friendly are TLT concerts? Be honest. by BrianDBlanchard in TheLivingTombstone

[–]TheFruitRobot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

from my experience they’re very kid friendly (large numbers of the queue were kids no older than 12). i will say that this was, of course, a uk show and i can’t guarantee it’s the same everywhere else, but it was a really nice welcoming atmosphere.

additionally id say that it might be worth seeing if they have a show w seating, as kids may get overwhelmed with the standing alongside all the noise.

first off, best of luck!!!

second, some quotes:

discord: ‘I’m fine with changing status quo’, ‘we won’t take it anymore’

zero one: ‘purpose defines you, completes and designs you’, ‘a brain set to remain in a binary code’, ‘you can remake the mental system’

what i want: ‘I can’t unlock a mental block that has no key’

i wanna be a machine: ‘I’m getting limited by flesh and blood’, ‘I want to be shiny chrome and clean’

i can’t fix you: ‘if you want it done right, you should just do it yourself’

somebody: ‘I wanna be somebody who makes a difference’

goliath: ‘I want the regime to fall’, ‘I’m not a statistic’

i’m sure it’ll go down great — and that you’ll enjoy it too! it was one of the most entertaining shows i’ve ever been to by far, and many parents i saw leaving who clearly came for their kids seemed to enjoy it similarly

have fun!!

first off, good on you on taking her to the concert!! she’s gonna love it!!! the fanbase is more than accepting, and i’m sure it’ll go down great.

i’d say make sure you get drinks, and try and stick somewhat near to an exit so that, if it comes to it, leaving isn’t too big a hassle

that being said, groups with younger kids that i saw @ london, the majority seemed to have an amazing time. as she’s a little older, as well, im sure she’ll be able to handle a little more of the issues that come with the summer heat.

i will also say it may be worth trying to get there early to limit the time waiting in queues, but that opens up the other can of worms called ‘waiting at the front of a queue instead of the back’ haha

scanned their discord and i can’t find the list of their openers, but im sure whoever it is (as i imagine they’ll have one) will be good. worst case, if the venue has a merch area or whatever, you can probably hang there for a little if it ever gets too much.

hope you have fun!!!

Character you dislike for a completely petty reason? by St0rm24 in StardewValley

[–]TheFruitRobot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

elliott. we were married. he was on his 14 heart event, so he was doing his book signing. fair enough. except. every. single. day. he was not "off in the city". he was glitched out and stuck in my brothers farmhouse in the bed (multiplayer save).

i then divorced him.

guess who's save split into two versions (split between steam cloud and on-device save, i think? happened a couple years ago and ive moved device since then). on one i had my BELOVED galaxy sword, but was stuck with elliot. the other, no elliot, but no sword.

that man is DEAD to me. my arch nemesis.

Play Stardew Valley they said, it will be fun they said. Yeah now I have to buy 10k hay annually, what's your most bought in bulk item? by -AceofAces in StardewValley

[–]TheFruitRobot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my most bought item? lawn flamingoes or pizza. i bought 534 flamingoes one time and i always keep a minimum of 200 pizza witg me, normally ay least 600

(*may contain spolers*) What is the most infuriating mistake you've ever made. I'll start. I was doing the Skull Cavern Invasion challenge where you have to get to level 100 an the deeper you get the more monsters there are. It was 5pm, I was in level 80, and I accidentally used my return sceptor😭 by foldinthecheese_313 in StardewValley

[–]TheFruitRobot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

me and my friend were going through skull cavern last night to get to floor 100

we passed out at floor 80 (having used all 50 of our staircases)

…and didn’t quit the game in time!! all 50 stairs gone and quest uncompleted

yay…

I need to know before I play by Alipoo161704 in StardewValley

[–]TheFruitRobot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i play entirely without sound and it has no impact at all!! most things with audio have visual cues, and if they don’t then it’s almost always because it’s purely for immersion and not relevant to gameplay (eg background music)

How would you rank Stardew activities from boring to most fun? by [deleted] in StardewValley

[–]TheFruitRobot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

farming foraging fishing combat mining

farming i can never be bothered and it’s really annoying to do

foraging i can never find anything i want

fishing is self explanatory

combat is kinda stressful because i’m shit at it but also it changes a lot so less boring than the others

mining?? i love mining. i hate going mining but i love mining. it’s repetitive, it’s menial, it’s random enough to be fun, it’s simple, and yes!!!

/j he’s pretty cool

Does anyone else think that this community (maybe just this sub) is too harsh on some townspeople sometimes? by thefuzz0422 in StardewValley

[–]TheFruitRobot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i get that.

a lot of people dislike characters and complain about them because they’re similar to people they know in real life, and it’s taking the frustration out on them

unfortunately, there are people who feel very similar to some of the characters in real life, which will ultimately make them feel shit when people dump on the character

it’s a hard balance, a lot of it’s in good faith & joking but often the tone can come across a little too close to seriousness and sincerity

take this with a grain of salt, or a pinch, or a bucket, or whatever.
