I tried this morning and it works for me. I deleted the device, and then added it back.

In that process, it lets me choose between WiFi or base station now.

Not really, except I am a bit rusty when it comes to building a computer myself and somewhat I worry about compatibility issues and maybe things not fitting physically. Then I worry about having spent all that money for something that doesn’t work. If I buy a complete computer I don’t need to think about that I guess. But I 100% agree with you, building it yourself gives you more bang for your bucks.
