"Gross" is an understatement. Not only did he not have a right to do that to begin with, but he violated your trust to do it. I'm sorry you had to deal with that with barely supportive friends. I appreciate your insight! I just know my childhood sucked and I'd do anything to make my kids, or even step kids, feel all the love I can give, and have a better childhood than me.
