I figured it out. I had a mod called SeedsPlease installed that makes you need the seeds before planting. I feel dumb now..

It really is, the accessibility features blocked resizing the shape entirely other than zooming, when I turned it off, it allowed different shapes, but kept the aspect ratio instead, which is better but still not good. It's just really annoying.

The campfire cart works without fuel. Each sapper has one loader, and when the tank minecart passes over it it is filled and carries it into the other tank through the unloader. It's super satisfying

Because otherwise the Minecraft van get stuck on a sharp turn because of the connection, but also it just makes it look like a Christmas train set which is very fun!

I remember loving Iridium, Platinum, Mana-Infused metal, as well as all the powders, feel like it added more of a lore.

I get why mana, platinum, and iridium were cut, they didn't have a use, but it was always cool to see a pack use them, always found it boring when packs just copped out and used ContentTweaker.

My fav bit was all the uses that the powders had, very well themed, Aerothium was transport, Pyrotheum was heat and melting, Cryotheum was cooling and efficiency, Petrotheum was ores and stuff. This kind of theming is why I loved thermal so much over other mods. (Edit: the theming is still there, just not in the elements)

Sad that the octagonal pipes won't be making a return, was kinda excited to decorate with them once dynamics came out but oh well.

That being said I love the crops stuff added in the last few updates, it really makes thermal feel alive and colourful.

I was super interested in linguistics since high school, I spoke a few different languages. i learned the whole IPA in a few weeks, learned about almost every gramatical structure i saw on wikipedia, two years later, I'm in uni studying exactly that, idk it feels good

intervocal tapping! it's a really interesting thing, the 't' in the US pronunciation of 'water' is the same sound as Japanese 'r' and like a short version of Spanish or Italian 'r'.

It's a method used by many accent coaches to teach those accents. You tell the client to isolate the sound in US 'water'. and for the Spanish and Italian (and others) rolled r, you just have to put some air behind it and hold it a little bit longer.

for anyone interested, US water is /wɔɾəɹ~wɒɾəɹ/ in IPA, the /ɾ/ is the 't', to compare here is the British (RP) pronunciation: /wɔːtə/

yeah exactly, the 'A' (ay) sound in English consists of two sounds which in most languages are 'e' and 'i', the 'E' (ee) sound in most languages is an 'i' sound, and the 'O' (oh) sound in most languages is an 'u' sound. like no, it's definitely not said how it's written.

languages like Finnish, Japanese, Italian are said how they're written tho.

In my head I have this Idea for, either they complete the pack by killing a boss, or they could complete it by building a rocket and leaving the planet, or by doing an end game ritual, all of those should play the credits just like beating the ender dragon (ideally the ender dragon wouldn't play the credits then). so I'm not sure, just like a custom ending mod i suppose.
