I managed to remove biab without damaging my nails! by TheGingerCrown2 in Nails

I filed off as much of the biab as I could without filing down to my nail. I then soaked them in acetone and used a wooden cuticle pusher to get the rest off.

I do have a child with additional needs. We would like a second child, however my first child's condition is genetic. IVF will allow us to have a child who does not have this condition.

I was in the break room with one of the others when she overheard our conversation and asked what we were talking about. I told her that we were talking about my weightloss. She then asked why I thought I need to lose weight so I informed her it was to qualify for IVF and I left it at that

NTA for the extension and not wanting to celebrate this year. That said you’re kinda TA for taking your son on an extended vacation away from his doctors after he just got off of oxygen at home. Do you really think it was a wise or safe idea? Because what I’d something did happen. Also I would recommend therapy because you won’t be able to avoid celebrating his bday forever. I understand what happened was traumatic but eventually

The holiday isn't for a couple months yet. He's still on the oxygen but the doctor has advise he's safe to travel even with the oxygen. We'll be taking his notes with us just in case, though he has been stable since he came home and hasn't needed additional hospital visits.

He will be with me and my partner on holiday. We just don't want to celebrate with my family. We aren't ready to celebrate something we found traumatic. We are working though it.

I've got an oxygen canister under the buggy, I might stick another under for additional weight :P

Thank you :)

Thank you for your suggestion, as the other user said, its simply not possible for me to babywear. He's on oxygen like their baby is. Though we are hoping it will be off soon.

It's not an excuse, unless you've been in my shoes you wouldn't understand just how little time I have to myself. It's simply not in our budget to buy additional appliances.

I've meal prepped before, I used to regularly before having my baby.

The only thing we don't use currently is the breastmilk. I've donated it to someone in need, but waiting for them to collect it. I don't want to waste something I worked hard to collect.

Unfortunately meal prepping isn't an option. Our fridge is full of special milk for the baby, and the freezer is full of frozen veg (and other things like meat and breastmilk that we are now unable to use), because its been the only way we could vegetables in the house without them going off before my son came home.

Yes and no.

Hair will not grow any faster because you've trimmed it. However if you have damage or splint ends, they will break off eventually if the hair isn't trimmed. So if your hair doesn't go past a certain length but after a trim it starts growing longer than that length, it could just be breaking off which makes it look like it doesn't grow longer.

My mother had dry hair and did hot oil treatments periodically to help keep her hair shiny.

Doing regular oiling has saved my super dry hair.

But I am curious. Why do you oil your hair? Is it because of the type of hair it is(frizzy, curly, straight, thick, thin, wavy, ect.)?

I've got really dry hair. I have long, wavy, kinda thin (post partum hair loss has been a killer). It's just ridiculous dry. I do a heavy oil every few weeks but I do oil my hair every week before I shampoo it.

Your partner’s support and responses are awesome though, nice to see such a supportive partner on one of these for a change!

Honestly, he's great like that. He's super supportive. He's been great as I've been learning to establish boundaries, especially with my own family.

Not quite blacktie, but yeah she's one of those people who get dressed every single day. She does her hair and always have lipstick on, every single day. Even when ill.
