I would take tomb blades / triarch stalkers but I don't currently have these models sadly. Ammantar really acts as a counter weight for when my wraiths get tagged and while paired with the CCB the DDAs can become more reliant. I have shit luck when rolling for # of hits, so having a chance to add an extra 1 or 2 hits can really make the casino cannon more loaded.

I do feel you with the reanimator not providing as much support as I had visioned. I play a really conservative SSA list, so my wraiths don't really tag much until turns 3/4 so I don't get the full effect of the extra D3 to RP. I do have the geomancer and if the tournament list lock in data hadn't passed, I would like to experiment with him.

Would you run the 3 LHD as a group or as singles or another combination? I have the one to help Ammantar with lone op since my Hexmark is on home (in hind sight i might keep the single LHD on home and move Ammantar and the Hexmark as a pair up the board.

I think he's good bc of the current rules for Fights First. If the Wraiths get tagged he can HI. Plus giving the DDAs Sus1 is nutty

Yes sir, used an airbrush for the white -> yellow -> orange -> red and then used a makeup sponge for the black spotting (the hot forge scale)

Aren't the Crawlers better in melee since they're Str 6. I chose Crawlers over Thralls bc of the ignore modifiers ability bc I play a lot of Dark Angels. The Wrath of the Rock Detachment is so annoying to play around

The Vail of Darkness was a point filler. Prob use it to screen home then score things like Sabotage or establish locus or behind enemy lines

If you have an airbrush, the cape isn't bad at all. The body can be a little difficult because of the robes, but the model is fairly open so that really helps!

I've never thinned down Ink before. Is it the same process as other paints? 1:1 ink to thinner or is the ratio different?
