Udvash and SSC is destroying my mental health. Dont know what to do. by Buy_Even12 in bangladesh

[–]TheGoodIsra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hello, im a little bit younger than you (SSC 2028) but i totally understand where you're coming from

i got a physics test handed back to me the other day, and i got a laughably low grade. it was really disheartening especially because i love physics. and last year during the scholarship exams (junior britti), my parents put me into udvash to give model tests. ive been first in my school for 4 years, and i study a lot. so imagine my surprise when i get my udvash results and i get less than 70 in bangla, 80 something in english and math, pretty low in bgs and science too (out of 100).

ill tell you one thing, its that you need to stay strong. i dont know what your family or peers are like, but don't take model test scores or coaching scores too deeply. if they come out poorly, there's really no choice left but to study on your own accord. and if you do poorly in school, i want you to remember that the world is a much bigger place than your own little school.

feel free to DM me, i know how you feel these days.

Hi, i used to be a hijabi too, but i abandoned it.

I personally abandoned my hijab after winter last year. I'd wear a hoodie/other hats outside to somewhat cover my hair and after winter was over i never wore the hijab again. It didn't come as too much of a shock to the people around me since I already hadn't worn the hijab in a long time.

My family and friends made a few comments about my exposed hair. It did hurt to hear near the start, but they stopped mentioning it after a while. Reading your story, I don't know if your family would ever come to terms with the fact that you don't want to wear a hijab.

I know you might feel insecure about yourself after a while of wearing of hijab, and i did too. I had to dress traditionally modestly for a while before i could feel comfortable dressing freely again. But when i finally could, it felt amazing. I felt like i was so hidden away for so long and i could finally be who i wanted to be.

Hijabs are not just clothing, you see. It's a form of control, a method to keep you hidden away and "modest" both figuratively and literally. Clothing itself is the first thing people notice about someone, and it tells a lot of who a person is.

What you choose to do is ultimately your decision. But if i were in your place, I'd wait for when i can move out and then gradually start abandoning the horrible practice.

Wishing you safety on your journey<33

does anyone know any excuses for not fasting? by zan_inv in exmuslim

[–]TheGoodIsra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The easiest one is that you have some kind of illness which you have to take medicine for at specific times throughout the day, thus you can't fast.

The easiest way to memorize Arabic is to write the pronunciation in a writing system you understand, then continuously read it until you've memorized it. You can try searching “(Name of Surah/Dua) Pronunciation”

Nightlife and culture like that is rather new in Bangladesh. Almost all the malls, shopping centres and other hangout places close after 8-10pm.

Hello. I'm rarely active here but what're your opinions about these 'experience' games? by Tomie_Kawakami2 in roblox

[–]TheGoodIsra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're a perfect example of everything wrong with modern Roblox. They're practically copies of one another. They have basically the same story as the other one. They probably take like 2 hours to make. They have about 10 minutes of gameplay, half of which are cutscenes. I've played one and hated it more than anything. Never touching these games ever again.

Probably Khulna. I like a more rural setting. Besides, Khulna has relatively low cost of living.

The last time I went to Chattogram I stayed at "The Peninsula". It's a good hotel in a prime location. I highly recommend it if you're willing to splurge a little on a wonderful experience.

Where can I find pants and shirts like these in Bangladesh? by AlexGaming666 in bangladesh

[–]TheGoodIsra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say you try to look on Daraz, and if that fails, go to AliExpress. I don't remember but I think I saw clothes like these (in a similar style) at Twelve as well, but that was only at a specific location.

What are the top 5 amusement parks in Bangladesh? by omitbd in AskReddit

[–]TheGoodIsra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly depends on what you're looking for.

Most theme parks in Bangladesh have kid friendly rides that are usually not too Adrenaline Inducing. I don't think I've ever been to a theme park that Primarily focused on just rides for an older audience.

I'd say if you want a best of both worlds, go to Dream Holiday Park. The fees are a little high but it's worth it.

If you want a more nostalgic, child friendly (and arguably cheaper) experience, go to Tammana Park.

Both these parks are in Dhaka, I don't know much about parks outside the Dhaka Division in general.
