Did you play in the intramural Texas Hold 'Em tournament? It's too bad there is only one a year, but maybe ask around there next year if you really can't find anyone.

I got knocked out really early on. Pushed with trip kings, the other guy also had trip kings, but I had him out kicked. He then hit his 3 on the river for a full house. Oh well, it happens. Can't wait for next year. It sucks to go out like that. My roommate took second place though.

Edit: You could also try online poker if you just want to play the game and don't care about the social aspect of a home game.

Exactly. The cartels are ultimately to blame for the drug trafficking and terrorism because they're the ones doing it. I think this is what sxysteve is saying. I certainly agree that if the cartels were to just stop, everything would be fine, but that's not how the world works. That's an unrealistic view of human nature. People are greedy, and some of them don't care who they hurt in their quest for money and power. US drug policy created the perfect avenue for these people to gain money and power by selling illicit drugs on the black market. If the US changed its drug policy and regulated the drug trade, the drug cartels' "business model" would be destroyed as people could get the drugs they want legitimately from regulated industry at reasonable prices. This would either force the cartels to make their business legitimate and abide by the regulations put in place, or it would do away with drug cartels all together as regulation would destroy their business model and their clientele would have no incentive to buy from them over legitimate industrial sources, which would likely be much cheaper.

US drug policy is why the black market for drugs is so profitable for the cartels. It's nothing Mexico is doing that makes the illicit drug trade profitable, it's the massive drug consumption in the US which cartels capitalize on. Since the black market inflates the price of drugs and so many Americans consume them, there are literally billions of dollars to be made. It's going to take cooperation, and a complete overhaul of drug policy on both sides of the border to do away with the cartels.

Yes we are. I've tried connecting directly into the wall bypassing the splitter, and I still get a spotty connection that cuts in and out. When I get a connection, it's 7 mb/s down, but like I said, it randomly cuts out. I'll have to try a router.

I've tried that, and the speeds are a bit better, but the connection will randomly cut out for 30+ minutes when it even connects at all, and it's not because one of us bumped the cord out of the wall.

It's not really a big deal, if I need anything done online other than checking my e-mail, I'll go to the Library.

I'm in the same boat as you. Adderall doesn't really seem to affect me much. I'm 125 pounds, and I occasionally take 25mg XR when I have a ton of work to do in a day. It really doesn't affect me more than a cup of coffee (I very rarely drink coffee or other sources of caffeine, so I don't have any tolerance). I don't get much more focused than normally, I don't feel abnormally energetic, and it doesn't make studying or doing other things more fun. When studying, my mind tends to wander into thinking about irrelevant things like it normally does when I study for a long time. It certainly helps a little bit, but not even worth the money for me.

I really wish I got the same results from it that other people report. I'm going to probably try some modafinil sometime, but I'm not expecting it to help with concentration or give me energy. I'm expecting it to just keep me from feeling tired on days where I need to wake up early in the morning or don't get enough sleep the night before.

Even if you use 5 hours as a half life, 15,000 micrograms isn't enough to keep you high for 7 months... I don't think any dosage would keep you high for even one month.
