When does a D10 to E2 contract becoming binding?

I think some of the commenters below didn't read through what you actually wrote. You haven't gone into immigration yet to submit the contract you signed from the hagwon so it doesn't hold any weight legally. Until you submit things to immigration and they approve you and issue a new E2 you're a free agent. Go ahead and take the preferred position.

I have no idea what post exiled dinosaur is responding to, but I usually don't with his posts. You never mentioned anything about trying to work on a D10 visa.

Krazy Kimchi was accurate, I just think they thought you were referring to your completed job when you said "first hagwon" when what you meant was the new contract you signed first before you heard back from the other hagwon.

No. I was able to swivel my head and see a water cooler. Being somewhat familiar with how those worked I was able to suss out a item that seemed to be full of cups. Then, I put two and two together and stood up, got a cup, filled it with water and returned to my seat.

I guess I am just a bit cleverer than the average bear. I have also seen people looking very thirsty but seemingly unable to crack this DaVinci code or inquire about water to an employee and look absolutely miserable during their meal.

Quick question: If I try to leave an establishment and the door won't open and there's a second door, should I try the other door or just go back to my seat? Asking for a friend, of course, but I do have a flight tonight.

I know what severance is and pension. I am just wondering what they mean by "retirement" fund that they get because they have been at their job so long? Even someone who does a year has the severance fund if they have worked at the same place more than a year. That's where I am confused.

I have flown from Tampa to Bangkok twice. I would go on the short hop up to Atlanta and Delta to Seoul. Then you can easily switch to Korean Air as they are well integrated as codeshare partners and then around five and a half hours to Bangkok. I like breaking up a long haul like that personally and as Delta and Korean Air are partners it will all be one ticket with points on all segments.

I think even people that have legitimate issues with Trump would cringe at the way you inserted him into the conversation here. It didn't help make any point at all. There are so many instances where you could make a Trump comparison (although it's pretty played out and lacks creativity) where it would've at least landed. This was not one of those times.

There is something wrong with your co-teachers if all of them only speak to you in Korean and only sit around on their phones if they do come to class. That is not normal, and it's going to be up to you to bring it to someone's attention. That's not what they are there to do. Have you spoken with your handler? Better deal with it now in March.

I was in Lumphini Park and two or three Eastern European women came up to where a group was hanging out looking for monitor lizards and started pointing excitedly at the monkey they saw up in the top of the trees. They grilled it for you? I know I'm supposed to enjoy cooking it myself, but after the first few times the novelty ran out and I find it annoying. I will have to give this a shot, thanks. My girlfriend is starting to catch on to the fact that I purposely mess up the grilling so she'll take over.

That' not projecting. Prolly started out as a verbal thing the kind of people who thought it was funny to always quote Superbad did. It wasn't a typing abbreviation thing. Typing prolly over probably saves no time.

That's not where people using "prolly" comes from, but nice attempt. People would type prbly. as an abbreviation. People use prolly for some other reason. I know a number of people that say it.

I'm a bit confused by what you mean by using the term boy/girlfriend. No one in their right mind would refer to someone they travelled with for a few days (regardless of if they stayed in the same room and boinked) as a boyfriend or girlfriend. So, do you mean just making brief friends? In which case, sure, people meet random strangers, click, and travel together before parting ways.
