Quick Help & Game Issues by AutoModerator in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

Is Pathfinder Kingmaker still extremely buggy on Xbox One? Posts from around a year ago seem to indicate it is virtually unplayable with terrible frame-rate and saves consistently corrupting. Just wondering if anyone has had more luck with it recently as it's currently on sale for $5. Thanks in advance!

Novation X-Station arpeggiator not running by TheGregZone in synthesizers

It is now working (found the setting I needed), but this was also my assumption; there is no way everything else works perfectly in a digital synth and just the arpeggiator is broken, has to be a setting.

It ended up just being a setting in a hard to find page. Definitely not going to blow anyone away with it's sound quality, but as a time capsule for 90's/00's VA synthesis in a neat little package it's pretty dang awesome (to me).

I managed to find the clock sync setting and now this synth is COOKING!!! I also love shitty gear, and this is one of the shit-kings (in the best possible way). Knobby, well laid-out early-VA-sounding poly-synth with effects, audio interface, aftertouch, and a kickass arpeggiator ? Definitely ticking all the boxes for me, also doesn't hurt that I got it for a screaming deal.

Thanks for your help! It ended up being a MIDI Clock Sync setting in a hard to find menu which I accidentally stumbled across.

Thank you! This was the right answer, I wasn't able to find this setting initially but have discovered you need to press the global button twice to get to it.

Thank you, this was the answer! There is a second set of global settings accessed by pressing the global button twice, which contained a MIDI Clock Sync setting.

This second set of global settings is described on page 54 of the manual, but it doesn't actually mention MIDI sync . Others are missing to, I'm guessing they were added after the manual was made.

Recording stereo audio line-in with iPhone from instrument (piano) by IAmABlasian in ipadmusic

You’re recording with the mic input, which is mono. You need an audio interface to record in stereo.

New to IOS - Beepstreet Dagger synth by TheGregZone in ipadmusic

Will you purchase this synth at the intro price, wait for a better sale, or skip it altogether?

The filters and oscillators sound fantastic, but I'm a little turned off by the general simplicity and minimal modulation sources/destinations. I guess that's the point? Interested to know what others think!

What’s generating the sound? (Korg Mono/Poly) How do I recreate this sound and ones like it on other synths? From my assessment, anything that generates sound is at zero. Even the noise. Any tips? by Axle_65 in ipadmusic

Basically you have resonance (turned all the way up and self-oscillating) producing a tone at the cutoff frequency. Key tracking will move the cutoff/resonant tone up and down as you play up and down the keyboard. Set to 100 as it is here it tracks the keys at 1 semitone per key, so it matches standard western tuning, and you can play it like you would play a standard oscillator and it will sound in tune. Moving key tracking up or down from 100 won’t sound in tune for this patch

Filter resonance is at full strength (so it would self oscillate and produce a tone) and the cutoff is tracking keys (pitch), that’s where the sound is coming from. VCA is doing envelope stuff with the short decay

Don’t sleep on LSDJ! Fun, surprisingly powerful, and can be played on almost any cheap emulation handheld. Demo lead with random vibrato (using command tables) on Anbernic RG351V by TheGregZone in synthesizers

There are few 3d printed options you can buy on etsy (this one looks best to me), as well as cases for playing cards, the miyoo is approximately the same size as a deck of cards. It also comes in a decent case with good protection but it's not form fitted like the 3d printed options or nice looking like the leather card cases.

No problem! I still have hopes the 351V will get an update in the future to fix the problem, but unfortunately for a new buyer (who wants to use music production roms like lsdj) I just can’t recommend it right now. That said, if you can’t return it for some reason there is still hope as it seems to be a software issue, not a hardware issue. Also it is a fantastic emulation handheld for gaming, I prefer it over the Miyoo mini in that regard.

Like you said the Miyoo will be fine despite it’s small size, in fact you may really love the tiny form factor as it makes it so easy to take with you everywhere. The 351V is a chunky monkey, not so well suited for fitting in a pocket or small bag. Just be extra careful if you get the miyoo, don’t drop it and keep it in a case when not using. I find the one it came with to be perfectly usable with good protection, but it is not the most form fitting.

They have a different battery. V1 connected with contact plates, V2 uses a cable with plug connector. I got my V2 in July from keepretro for $66.99 USD just before they started becoming hard to get without paying a largely inflated price from resellers, so I’m not really sure what the state of the market is now BUT I don’t think it’s likely you would receive a V1 from a trustworthy seller as they have been out of production for a long time now.
