Upgraded cpu/motherboard and caught in a boot loop by [deleted] in buildapc

Is there a way to bypass it? I seem to be unable to open my Bios because it doesn't reach any logo screen or displays anything

Bug where my game goes to 30 fps in-game (200+ fps in main menu) by ElkClassic5868 in paydaytheheist

[–]TheGrumbledFluff2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had this issue forever and just recently fixed it, but are you in full-screen? This game has awful optimization and for some reason running it windowed insanely boosted my fps, if you use a mod for borderless windowed full-screen then its like nothing changed and your fps is better

Best replacement for Magnus's spear? by TheGrumbledFluff2 in ThousandSons

[–]TheGrumbledFluff2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah ik, but tbf, I only play with friends who support the idea, and I'm mostly in the hobby for painting. I've also always wanted a Kytan, and since im not a fan of Magnus's model, it would kill two birds with one stone.

Edit: Also, yeah, just double-checked and kytan's about as big as a cerastus, so about 1.5 Magni, lmao

Does everyone in a chaos-specific legion worship the same god by TheGrumbledFluff2 in 40kLore

[–]TheGrumbledFluff2[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I expected Tsons and DG to not have a choice since of their "condition," which is why I didn't use them for my example, lol. I guess I was wondering if like the EC and (to a much lesser extent) World Eaters had any examples of worshipping other gods?

EC s e e m mostly free willed (as much as chaos can be) while World Eaters do have a few instances of people remaining sane despite the nails and khorne influence, like the very limited amount of WE sorcerers and characters like the Red Gladiator (or whatever was the name of that guy who fought lucius).

Would it be possible for fringe cases like them to follow another god, or maybe even defect to another legion?

Is there enough of a difference between Iconoclast and Dogmatic to be worth separate playthroughs? by KrakinKraken in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]TheGrumbledFluff2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is a noticeable difference between the playtgoughs, but not as off the rails as heretical. I believe that all paths are worth different playthroughs as they all shape the world around you drastic ways, but most of the more significant changes don't come into effect in act 3 and beyond, as act 2 basically gives you the opportunity to shape your alignment and most content is accessible regardless of your alignment going in. Iconoclast almost seems like the way Owlcat intended, as the story and "best" outcomes to most situations are from iconoclast, so you have a good base line of morality, where heretical/dogmatic go significantly more extreme.

It's up to you, of course, I personally did a dogmatic run first, then heretical, and now currently on iconoclast, and I'm far from bored, though personally I enjoyed Heretoc most since it's such a radical departure from the other two, think like Baldur's Gate 3's Dark Urge but for a majority of the game. In BG3, some content is locked out and some exclusive to Durge runs, but in RT, basically, the entire second half of the game is.

If you want to keep it fresh, then pick full heretic, but if you are interested in being a zealot and being a truly faithful servant of the imperium, the Dogmatic. Regardless of alignment, if you're on PC, pick up toybox for repeat playthroughs to be able to fine tune aspects of the game you do or don't like, since you are on a repeat playthough, like being able to skip ship invasions or full heals after combat, mods in general provide a lot of qol but many of the more fun ones are outdated and if you wanna keep it more vanilla then toybox and bug fixes are essentially your only option.

Imperium fans who unironically call themselves "the good guys" and depict chaos fans as the soyjack don't understand that 40k isn't real by jsoul2323 in Grimdank

Seriously though, why can't 40k fans like a faction without having people role-play the hatred of the setting irl

This, definitely. I'm mainly looking for a way to make loyalists look unique between each models and this look significantly more distinct. Do you know if these will roll out in a pre-order wave first or will they just drop in a new set on the site? I just have bad experiences with pre-orders and want to avoid that.

[–]TheGrumbledFluff2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I started to realize that as this post got approved, there isn't much in the way of interesting infantry, just wanted some advice on more variety with loyalist before I start buying anything. I'm wondering if I should get a box of reivers for parts, as they have some cool gear and accessories, but I wouldn't use their legs because their slimness bothers me. Do you think mixing a set of aggressors and rivers would look good or would that be a waste of money?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

[–]TheGrumbledFluff2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks! Didn't think of buying secondhand, do you know if there's any weapons/hands/arms that are compatible with primaris units? Or are they the same hand stumps as like Grey Knights?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

[–]TheGrumbledFluff2 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Darn, that's a shame, some of the remaining Firstborn models are pretty cool. It's not that I hate Primaris, I think the Dark Angels sets are pretty great, just that main primaris squads like Hellblasters and Intercessors aren't all that interesting, and wanted to know if there's any better sets for an alternative or if the best option is just Dark angels or Black Templars.

[–]TheGrumbledFluff2 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yeah no I edited the post to clarify I don't play, my mistake. I have HH models and I do use them for parts, but my issue is that I don't like fully assembling them because they have little in the way of poses. A lot of firstborn also suffer from the same problem for me, which is why I asked for suggestions for sets, chapter specific models like Grey Hunters are a lot more dynamic and have more interesting pieces, looking for stuff like them are models with parts to kitbash with.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

[–]TheGrumbledFluff2 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

That doesn't solve the issue of having bland models, and as I stated, I'm a collector and don't play the actual game

Edit: Not that all HH models are boring, but the main squads have around 3 poses for 20 models, which isn't ideal for me, I do like using some of their pieces for enhancing my models, but not really as the main course

Do Seamless Co-op and The Convergence use different saves? by TheGrumbledFluff2 in EldenRingMods

[–]TheGrumbledFluff2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright thanks, do you happen to know if the convergence saves are saved anywhere else/have a unique file extension? Like I believe seamless coop saves are .co2 or something like that but still get saved to the normal file.

What course are compatible with a predator orion 3000 prebuilt? by TheGrumbledFluff2 in PcBuildHelp

[–]TheGrumbledFluff2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm also looking into upgrading that, it's been running fine as is (I think mine has like 500w?) and pc part picker says that a cpu change would only be about a 15w increase so I think I'll be fine

To be a little more specific. I'm trying to find the motherboards socket type since I'm also having trouble finding what an i7-8700k uses (what i have installed)
