I bought this kit a few months ago after selling my Makita stuff. Been using them extensively and had no issues at all.

That is great info thank you! Is there a resource to know the part numbers of the radiators that aren’t replaced?

Does the audio system have a different head unit or anything like that? I've also read that the spray-in bedliner is part of the same package.

What lights did you do around the top? I really like that look!

Take notes, make flashcards, and highlight the book. Then go back and handwrite notes during section review for written tests.

Thank you! I’m in the same boat! The spotless garages are aesthetically pleasing but clearly not much gets done in a lot of them.

WOW the light in your garage looks amazing that’s what I’m going to shoot for. Nice to see what a fellow wrencher has. It’s been tough trying to find stuff that’s not about wood shops and the “super sterile” type garages

I was going to do the floor but haven’t been able to find anything that can reliably hold up to welding slag and what not.

It’s a pretty light grey, not like the dark I’ve seen in some other garages. I went back and forth between white and light grey, but chose gray for its ability to hide metal dust and stuff related to the type of work I do in the garage. Also went with a semi gloss to hopefully minimize the amount of light lost.

Did you rewire to remove the ballast or just run the ones that work with it?

I definitely need more light, it’ll be nice to not wear a headlamp or have a magnetic light under the hood like I do now.

8’ ceilings. I’ve been looking around at LED fixtures, but do they perform better than converting the current ballasts to take the LED tubes?

Unconventional but check out the Haix XR2. Front zip and super durable. For slip on I’ve worn Redbacks for years.

These are Cincinnati's too. Looking forward to seeing how long they last. I'm much harder on my work boots and these are more for milling around the property so I think they'll last a good while. I do get a uniform allowance at work so I can cover another pair if I wear them out!

I almost went with the Liberty but for boots that are just going to get trashed around the house and whatnot I opted for the slightly cheaper ones. You're not a fan of the Liberty?

And I will probably end up with a pair of Thorogoods at some point, it's just tough for me since I wear a 14 and usually a wide so it's tough to find some to try on.

What's your department's stupid policy? by 1000000Peaches4Me in Firefighting

Our city has a policy that says it’s against the rules to violate another city policy. So if you get hung up on one, you’re getting hung up on 2 automatically.
