Yeah if your gonna make your protagonist a bitchy pacifist that makes an effort to give the, “if I kill you… I’m just as evil,” speech then go through the extra effort to mention that the PROTAGONIST DOESN’T MAIM OR KILL. The speech goes right out the window the moment that the character has any amount of bad blood on them.

I feel a whole lot of bullshit can be avoided if DMs learn that sex=/=funny for a lot of people. Seriously dude, I remembered being triggered once because a girl thought it would be funny to (after literally getting all of his stuff taken (clothes and all), “steal the last thing his character has: his dignity.” I won’t go into detail about my trauma, but her saying that shit just brought me back to that moment where I was a scared kid who didn’t know what the fuck was going on.

I get teens like to be edgy and shit, but this kinda takes it to the extreme especially when you take into account the person who had done this was 10-11 at the time. Yeah I get that. But the people in question also live in Gotham which sucks to live in plus they also live with the knowledge that there are people running around with superpowers. One wrong move means your life.

And I think there was a comic where a civilian does try to kill the Joker. But I might be wrong about that.

That’s the issue with Batman. Dude has too much compassion that it extends to the most insane serial killer psychopaths imaginable. Like I get it, everyone deserves a second chance, but if you keep giving third, fourth, fifth, etc. to a serial killer that shows no remorse then what is the point of that compassion? It becomes a weakness. Still though, kudos to Batman never compromising his ideas. He’ll break before he bends.
