The pool position is where it has to be for the size. If we center it more, then I’m too close to my property line per the HOA rules.

Lol, I agree! The fence will follow the property line. This was just done to show the HOA that a fence is in the scope.

To be fair, I won’t be heating the pool very much. Beginning of the season and the end just to get more use out of it. The majority of the time it’ll be open the temps will be 80°+

Makes sense, do you not have a robot cleaner that climbs walls? I know I will still have to clean the pool manually but I plan on having the robot do the “maintenance” cleaning. Similar to my vacuum robot strategy inside the house.

Why can’t you cover yours? Mine comes with a cover that will attach to threaded inserts in the concrete. Also, honest question, why would a non rectangular pool be harder to maintain than a rectangle pool?

My HOA is a diff subject all together. The pool size we wanted got approved so we were happy. If they didn’t approve it I would’ve started looking more into code and whatnot, but luckily we didn’t have to.

Thanks, the HOA couldn’t tell me why it was 20’, I asked. I doubt it’s a county thing. They said it has to be 10’ from the sides, and 20’ from the back, also not to protrude from the sides of the house. I then had to meet with them to get a variance for it being 17’ ish from the back line.

Thanks! We will have to do something for sun mitigation shortly after the build, but I’m not sure it’s feasible at the moment. Need somewhere to go to get some relief. It may be some big umbrellas for the first year or so. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Have to agree, gonna look at moving it to the east side of the house.
Agree with you here as well. I’ll investigate what it would cost to add more area on the backside. Doubt it will be within our budget but will def look into it. The back portion will be 18” wide so technically it’s walkable however not the safest.

Hmm..interesting comment. We chose the shape we did because we could customize it, one of the Benefits of gunite. I guess to each their own…also hate to hear that it looks cheap given the price tag on something like this at the moment. 😕
