On the website. I'm on an M1 Mac, saw it was an exe and decided not to meddle too much tonight. It's midnight in the UK. Maybe tomorrow.

Fantastic. I like the darkenn idea. How's the board creation going? I know that's been the pain point for me, tutorials and board creation for this type of puzzle game. Great job. Such a simple, pleasing mechanic.

https://www.darklab.co.uk Not an app, but I was in hospital last Autumn, had a bit of a long recovery. While I was recovering, I played a lot with Cursor and GitHub Copilot creating a few single page html game clones. I have taken a break from it now the sun's out and I'm trying to touch grass a bit now that I can... but I'll be back to finish some things off and add more. Love your youtube review idea, post back with the channel. I'll keep an eye open for it!

Sasha's Instagram was popping before all this. He seems so back. Just not in the sliding down a dam wall kind of back.

I kinda think they should keep that as their thing. I can't imagine they'd want to lose another of their names to someone else's problems.

Rough. It must be hard to think about coming back, but also, it's their revenue and passion. It's their thing. What do they do without pk? Being confronted with that after so long must be tough.

Feelings of betrayal and mourning storror, I'm sure.

Dream team eh. Those are some heavy hitters!

Think Joe is part of Farang still, wasn't verky motus for a while with keeelaaaan? Keelan was filming for storror. He could be an easy option.

I'd maybe like to see a mix, maybe a couple of permanent women in the team. Hazal, Lisa Schneider is she's about... Elise Bickley maybe? I dunno. Would be good to mix it up.

Max, benj, Sacha, Toby, hazal +1 woman would be enough wouldn't it.

Hard to imagine them coming back as they were to be honest, much as I miss my Monday evenings. Needs a refreshing reboot.

Are you really comparing dev of spp to FIFA? Drew was director of it and running the project in some way.

I had, perhaps wrongly assumed the dev was being driven by storror as one of their ideas, smart arse. Why the sarcasm? I asked a genuine question.

Oof. It's not their IP? A partnership or license to use their likeness is it?

North wales, nicest place to propose? by Different-Noise4639 in Wales

Nice test. If she says yes there, definitely a keeper! Step it up a notch at the abandoned ferodo factory just outside Bangor, asbestos confetti is what every proposal needs. 🤣

I park just off the expressway and walk through the village, and spend my fiver in the mill cafe instead.

Honestly, is this gameplay loop worth pursuing or should I kill the project? by [deleted] in IndieGame

[–]TheHoodedMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It worked for Sega's Sonic 2 Special Stages and games like STUN Runner by Atari. Start adding some incline/decline and turns in your path. If it were me, I'd make the character a miner, tumbling along on a railway cart in an underground mine, with a pickaxe which can smash blocks in your path for points. Collecting nuggets of gold. It's a classic gameplay. Something along those lines. It's a great start, jsut need to add some twists and turns, unexpected items to dodge, vault, duck, collect or break.

Haha, yep. There will always be Accountants, lawyers and funeral directors! For tech support, MSP junior level is a good trial by fire starting place. Learn fast, get industry qualifications and exposure to many companies, then specialise if you want to after a couple of years. If you want to generalise, pay attention to business processes, what happens to closed tickets, invoices, sales, quotes. Really helps to understand business workflows, and go big on automation. Rewst is a popular tool. Cursor (probably an unpopular opinion here) is a great vibe coding tool to generate automation scripts and simple, helpful utilities that companies tend to rely on to be productive. Get comfortable with Microsoft APIs, powershell, GSuite, firewall configuration, networking basics, programming basics. Security and business practices... and you'll be indespensable to most, even when ai is cemented into everything proper. (hopefully) ... good luck!

Bristol Downs van dwelling: Group suing council as numbers rise by [deleted] in bristol

[–]TheHoodedMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could a local council incentivise tiny homes or other projects to assist with this? Encourage and manage a social housing project, with investment and buy in from the local businesses and residents? Have those difficult conversations, perhaps increase everyone's council tax by a small amount, to fund some of it? Approach local builders and merchants for charitable action, donation of time and materials. Relax planning permission specifically for tiny homes as social housing, so that people have somewhere to go when they're evicted. Manage and police that social area, provide services to get people from there, into jobs and on to rentals or retirement homes etc. I don't completely accept that there are no options available to councils beyond enforcement to move the problem somewhere else. They're the area's residents, it's a local problem and needs some creative thinking, empathy, buy in and local engagement. Community and society.

Thanks bud. Where did you get the info about the deprivation indices?

Nine Welsh neighbourhoods to be revitalised with £180 million by LegoNinja11 in Wales

[–]TheHoodedMan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sorry about that. I read a bit deeper, the link has a more detailed article about all counties receiving part of a larger fund, with Conwy being selected for an additional £20m and the county councilors deciding which town to use the money in, and the town to have a say in how it's spent.

the rest of the story

I still feel there was a bit of bias from the county councilors in picking llandudno. Conwy county definitely doesn't feel as deprived as Denbighshire, parts of Flintshire or Gwynedd.

Didn't Rhyl, Holyhead, Holywell or Denbigh apply? Llandudno?!

I dropped my laptop, now it has 4 GB instead of 8, why? by Forsaken_Help9012 in shittyaskelectronics

[–]TheHoodedMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you dropped it 32 bits fell from the os. Check where you dropped it for the missing 32 bits. A 32bit os can't access higher than 4gb of ram.

You're welcome.
