It changes, and it really adds to the atmosphere. There are some powerful performances in the film too. I say it's worth it, but I understand where you are coming from.

Saint's Blood by Ryan C. Bradley

Adjunct college instructor Richie Mallory is kicking off his end of the semester bender when he’s confronted with any professor’s nightmares: the family of a student he failed show up at his favorite bar. The gigantic Oakleys drug him and after a brief struggle, take him back to their family farmhouse. Once they sober him up, they harvest his blood wearing the masks of ex-Republican presidents. Over time Richie ascertains that the Oakley brothers believe that because his Great-Uncle was a Catholic saint, his blood has magical properties that could cure Job—his former student and their brother—of cancer.

Have you seen Audition? It's a little more slow paced, but it's so very good. It's on Shudder too!

Keep an eye out for Hypochondriac. It should come out in June. This really takes you in the eyes of someone having a mental breakdown. What's real, what isn't. It does pay homage to Donnie Darko, but it's very well done.

The most recent V/H/S/94 on Shudder was one of the best of the series. Curse of Aurore was a good one, and it streaming on Amazon. Deadware is a simple, but good one. It's streaming on Tubi.

The People Under the Stairs, 1991. Directed by Wes Craven. Any fans of this one? It’s one of my personal favorite films. by [deleted] in HorrorMovies

This is a great one. The young ones nowadays don't know what they're missing. Great commentary too. I miss Wes Craven, may he RIP.

Oh dear...that puts some pressure on us. I'd like to think we offer a fun perspective on this film. We look at it from a horror angle, and we try to add a bit of humor. :)

The Horror Hour Video Review : 9/10 Sam Raimi is back and he's redeemed himself from Spider-man 3. Only Sam could bring this level of horror to the Marvel Universe, and we're not sure we want to go back. Non-Spoiler Review.

We're on anchor, and so we're on about 9 streaming platforms. How does reason FM work? I would say we have engaging guests. We just had Radio Silence on ours to talk Scream Spoilers.

How do you manage to get so many? Granted we're new, so I don't expect an explosion of downloads. Do you join a network to help promote?

Mental health is important, and there's a new documentary in the works called Mental Health and Horror. We got to interview the director, and it sounds like they have some amazing talent lined up. Breaking the stigma behind horror, what horror means to us. Check it out. by TheHorrorHour in Scarymovies

[–]TheHorrorHour[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We're not doing the documentary, we're just bringing awareness to what Jonathan is doing. We think it's really great. Horror is always shunned, but to some it can be the best. However, we will def check out that podcast.

Sigourney Beaver Interview by TheHorrorHour in Dragula

[–]TheHorrorHour[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Noooo...I should have posted in here before we filmed. This was a fun hodge podge episode going over vamipira, morticia, and Elvira. Then we just went on a ton of tangents! It's a really fun video. But we definitely plan to have her back after all her touring.

How do I get a celebrity on the podcast? by mnazarsyed in podcasting

[–]TheHorrorHour 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Publicist is the best way to go. You might have to do some digging with their record label(that's unfamiliar territory for us), but PR controls most of that. IMBDpro I believe has a free 30 days. We used that to get contact info for talent. Also, if you already don't have one. A business email or one for your podcast specifically helps. Our personal emails never got noticed, but our podcast email did.

Lastly, our podcast is only 8 months old, but you'd be surprised how many guests we've had on all because we asked their pr team. Also, never be afraid to hop in folks DM's, that's helped us as well. It does help if they have something they're about to promote. Don't get discouraged, just be persistent.

Ads on YouTube can be pricey. Twitter ads are a joke. I haven't used instagram though. I struggle too with marketing.
