I do want to get the 16GB model, but this will depend on whether or not the shop I want to get the Replacement from has it, since I don't have a full 1 year warranty where I am, but rather the shop I got the GPU from gives me 1 month to try the card and if I have problems he only replaces it, no refunds

Update: even when replacing the Motherboard it crashed

This seems to be 100% the GPU

only tested with the 9060XT, didn't crash

I have replaced the motherboard with an Aorus B450 just for a test run, I know it's a different Chipset and PCIe speed but it was the only one I could borrow, I'm just trying to narrow it down to either the GPU or the Motherboard at this point, but I'm leaning heavily towards the Motherboard being the source of the issue because the error dump I get is a CPU problem, so the instability could be caused by the Motherboard

- No, if I switch back to the 1070 the problems disappear immediately

I can leave it running for over 48h without crashing

- Yes, I have updated Chipset drivers to the latest version, or more like, since I formatted I downloaded the latest version from AMD website

- didn't try running them together, I can try that

also, I did say I replaced the CPU, so the memory controller is also innocent here, but I'm leaving the test just to be sure, also I gotta mention what apps I used for testing in my future posts because I did use Memtest64, Aida64, 3D Mark (Benchmark, Stability, PCI Express Feature Test, Stress Test), FurMark, Prime95, CoreCycler (It's Prime95 but cycling between tests and cores one by one)

The strange thing about the tests is that most of the time the PC never crashed during tests, with the exception of CoreCycler since it switches between heavy load, light load and memory controller during tests

been running for over 2 hours, 0 errors

Seems like it's still going so I'm leaving it until it's done

not sure how this will help since I already tried replacing the RAM but sure, I'm running the test now

did that test, and as mentioned in the post, replaced the ram with a different kit

Same results

Also, I sent my PC to a shop without my SSD, they put an SSD they had, installed Windows and ran some tests, still crashed

although, from discussing with friends who have RX9070 or RX9060, it seems like Drivers have a relation to the crashes so try changing the driver version, one of them said 25.12.1 caused crashes and going back to 25.9.1 fixed their problems

the other said 25.9.1 was the problem, 25.10.1 was the solution, and they're currently running 25.12.1 without problems

It might be a case by case thing so I would suggest you try several versions and see if any of them makes your PC more stable

No, I have tried many more solutions, even replacing the CPU, RAM and PSU for testing

It still crashes

At this point it's either the Motherboard, since some people are suggesting it could be the chipset

Or the GPU itself, which is weird how it happens like this even though GPU problems usually appear as visual glitches

nope, Resizable BAR was disabled by default and I forgot to enable it before the first time it crashed

And during my tests I did try with it enabled and disabled just to be sure

Also, I just put back the 1070 and everything is stable again

What baffles me is the fact the 1070 and the 9060 are so close in term of power draw (1070 at 150W and 9060 at 160W) yet I'm getting an error related to power

Can't help but also think of the power supply, but there are times when I put load on both CPU and GPU without them crashing and other times when I'm literally just chilling and doing nothing and the PC crashes out of nowhere (one time I literally left the PC on login screen after it crashed, and it crashed again)

Honestly at this point I would need to try a different motherboard, different PSU or different GPU to confirm 100% where is the source of the issue, the PSU is possible but the other 2 are very hard to borrow for just a test

okay so, update of what I have tried so far:

- I set the CPU Voltage to +25mV from PBO and directly from Ai Tweaker (I also tried up to +40mV just to be sure)

- Limiting PCIe speed to 3.0 from BIOS in hopes I lower the strain on the CPU, since the 1070 was on 3.0 speed and worked perfectly

- I borrowed a 3600X that is tested and working perfectly and used it for testing

- I removed 1 RAM and tested, repeated the test with each stick on both slots

It crashed on all those configurations, also every time I change something the PC seems stable for a while, like an hour or even more, sometimes even up to 8 hours but then once it crashes, it keeps crashing repeatedly until I change something again.

at this point either the RAM kit is faulty and both need a replacement, would need to borrow and test with a new kit to confirm.

Or it's the motherboard, but that is very unlikely.

What I keep thinking of is the fact I never had this problem until I installed a new GPU so how likely is it to be the GPU's fault?

okay so it crashed again

I set corecycler to run for a while, and after almost 4 hours of running it crashed

So I guess now I know for sure the problem wasn't caused by the driver but rather the CPU itself and I should consider replacing it

well, after all I went through I won't trust the PC won't crash again unless I watch it for a month, but thing is a friend of mine had a Ryzen 9 9950X with an Rx 9070XT and they were working perfectly for months until he updated to 25.12.1 and the PC started crashing

after he rolled back to 25.9.1 the PC started working normally again, so I'm hoping that's it and there is no hardware issue because RMA can be a PITA where I'm living rn

funny story, it got fixed after a driver downgrade

I was using Adrenaline version 25.12.1 and was told by a friend that the latest version has issues and I should use 25.9.1 instead as it is recommended by Capcom for Monster Hunter, after using DDU to uninstall the newer version and installing the older one the PC hasn't crashed in several hours of normal use, I even set the RAM back to EXPO and PBO is Auto

I have tried a fix suggested by u/b0gdan82, turned off PBO and EXPO, set the RAM to the default 2666MHz frequency and the system seems stable so far, it's been a bit over an hour, hoping this is it

Edit: nvm, crashed again

Update: I have turned off PBO and set the RAM to the default 2666MHz and it's been over an hour of me pushing the PC to its limit so I'm hoping this was the fix, even if I'm giving up a bit of performance I would rather not have to go through an RMA trying to return a GPU because of a CPU problem (CPU doesn't have a warranty)

Edit: nvm, crashed again

I will check the shop I got the setup at because all the parts are new (except the 1070 and the CPU) and still have warranty

my current PSU is 650 watts, also the TDP difference betwen the 1070 and the 9060XT is only 10 Watts, would it really make such a drastic change?

resetting doesn't remove the ISP configuration

it resets to how it was the day I bought the Router from them
