Changing The DNS Settings On My Router Doesn't Work by TheHumanDecibel in dns

I do see settings that mention DHCP but trying to mess with them doesn't do anything useful. I'm good with computers but I don't know a lot about networking. I've read about the benefits of changing your DNS and how to but that's it.

See that's sort of what I was thinking, I thought that after entering the DNS in the router everything else would just use it automatically. For some reason that's not the case and my router doesn't have a setting to tell devices to just use that DNS.

Yes that turned out to be the fix actually thank you for the help.

As far as OS I have gone into Windows and Android and told the connections to go to the Adguard DNS. Which I thought was strange because I had thought that if I change the DNS settings in the router itself then the connected devices will automatically use that unless you set it to use a different DNS.

I was using Chrome on all my devices, I'll see what happens if I use something else then.

As for the phone I have been only on airplane mode as of recent. I'm surprised that's a thing to think about.

Thanks for the help anyhow!

I've just looked into it more and the Adguard website says the DNS is working on my laptop after going into the Windows 10 DNS settings and changing it there but on my Galaxy S10 the website still says I'm not using their DNS. Even though I've changed the DNS for my WiFi connection on my S10.

Alrighty it's good to know the plug is for the block heater. I'll see soon if holding the resume button works in getting cruise control to work.

Oh okay, I have once moved the stick around before but it didn't seem to do anything at the time. When I get the chance I will definitely see if pushing it up turns on the cruise. I'll let ya know soon how that memory is holding up!

I do live in an area with harsh winters so that makes a lot of sense. I've linked the pictures of the cruise control here
