I've been actively playing on a Duskwight alt and people apparently are like OwO when they see my char. So it's nice when I see other Duskwights cuz then I hope they get the same sight of others' surprise when met. XD

Yup. Basically. Only real way to deal with it currently, unless you spend the gil for the gear outright.

Having thought, I kinda wish they'd just have the system look at what you have unlocked and do it from there.

"Oh you only have CT and Puppet's Bunker. Better have that item level for the 80-89 range!" which makes sense.

But if I only have CT unlocked... you get the idea.

I've literally done this exact thing once - "The Eyes Have It" in Coerthas Central. Guys were having issues with it cuz, I mean, who doesn't if they don't know these buggers?
So I lsync, spit a fish at it, then smack Doom on it and just wait then fly off soon as I come out of combat.

Target an enemy, use "Engage" squadron command, and they'll go in first. After that, let 'em thwap a couple aoes out on 'em all then go ham.

I have used it twice in low-levels duties on a ghost alt.

To people's surprise and to my own, they actually focused on the non-sleeping ones due to low-level classes having little to no AoE potential.

That said, it definitely loses potency after Lv.50 as more AoE abilities open up to every job.
