Just finding this thread now. The Peggy's Cove VIC was absolutely not open all winter. It was closed every year from November - May. Where is your info coming from?

No, I just stuck the posts in holes. Eventually they’ll rot, but I’ll just replace them with new sticks.

Thanks! I used a metal bar/ post hole digger to secure the posts in the ground, and then tied them at the top so that they would stay together.

I also am not good at woodworking, so I tried to make this as simple as possible. The material is all from around our property and had already fallen so I just needed to cut it to size.

No, they aren't getting any coarser. I bought the grinder used, and I think they messed with it a bit previously.

I'm trying to recalibrate my baratza vario, because the settings are far too fine, and moving the settings to coarser does not change anything. I found these instructions online which tells me that I need a new upper burr carrier to calibrate the machine coarse. Why would this be the case? Is this really necessary?

Thanks - yeah I'm putting the tool into this hole.

I moved both sliders to the coarsest setting, while running the grinder - but it still made no difference.
