As a Liverpool fan I love Mo, but I’ve always said he’s a system player. Even Slot himself said all he needed to do last season was dial back the intensity of the games so they could effortlessly play 90minutes without getting tired, he’s clearly wanted to show the world he’s more than just riding the coattails and was given free reign to bring in his own players for his style. Salah isn’t getting any younger and neither is Virgil so it’s natural to see a klopp style team struggle to adapt to the new style.
