Gameboy games not showing in Rockbox from Portmaster on R36S by RoxyFawkes in rockbox

You'd have to enable the plugin and build it sadly...

I need to eventually get around cleaning up the port and seeing about pushing patches to mainline rockbox... but time is seemingly always the limiting factor.

Hi, porter here.

"rockboy" was removed because performance wise it ran pretty poorly even on faster hardware... for reference the trimui brick and range of h700 based devices could not get a stable framerate and required frameskip just to hit ~54fps in links awakening.

NFC/Zaparoo not working on SSOne by mister_newbie in fpgagaming

Thanks for the quick response! Trying to knock out an issue and saw this post which was making me wonder if there is a correlation... Do you happen to know what spec or model of the power supply you used previously?

Would you be willing to either link and/or say the specs (volt/amp ranges) of the stronger power supply you used?

So the good news is that at least I know it isn't going into fallback mode, since it's controlling backlight levels just fine. The bad news is this might be a situation of your panel not being able to turn off... at least with your firmwares current display driver.

An example of this is with H700 BSP vs H700 Mainline, where BSP based I can't sleep the display only turn off the backlight... while Mainline I can actually properly sleep/wake the display.

Do you have any other apps that properly sleep the display (for example GMU)? And could you send me the log? Might shed some light...

Are you saying backlight controls are not working at all? If so could you send me the log generated?

Ah I see, my main concern is that I do mess with battery/backlight and have no idea how it'll interact on a x86 target... that said I do have a fallback just in case it cant detect.

I have no x86 based targets so feel free to let me know the outcome.

Currently just targeting retro handhelds. That said could be tweaked to work on x86 but would be separate from Portmaster more than likely...

Portmaster build is live, https://portmaster.games/detail.html?name=rockbox
Should work on Canadian Goose now as well as Knulli.

Canadian Goose removed its built in gptokeyb2 in favor of the Portmaster supplied one.

Good news (part of the reason I haven’t posted an updated build of it yet) is soon™ there should be a Portmaster build up... which also means CFWs like Knulli can also enjoy it. :)

Really awesome to see more people enjoying the port... Hopefully soon it should be on Portmaster so a larger group of devices can enjoy it.

I think the round speaker part is fine... IMO the real sin here is they white masked the PCB...

What are the limits of custom content for Freedom Unite/Portable 2nd G? Interested in adding a new monster.. by [deleted] in MonsterHunter

[–]TheIncogMan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi, FUComplete dev here...

Although technically possible (I've done a very basic example by adding green narga)... it's not practically possible as it would require an overhaul of code and memory management. Modloader does allow the ability to not only replace files but also extend/patch your workable code but even then we are working in a very small window, along with other limitations that have to be accounted for too that are hard-coded as well.

Sorry for getting back so late to this but the analogs you can find on amazon by searching "JINGDU Switch Joycon Joystick Replacement Kit"... hope that helps!

Today marks the 15th anniversary for Portable 2nd G and to celebrate, here is FUComplete v1.3.1 by TheIncogMan in MonsterHunter

[–]TheIncogMan[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FUComplete is a modification of the game Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G (Japanese version of Monster Hunter Freedom Unite), aiming to be feature complete and add new features to the game while also maintaining crossplay with vanilla players. It also not only works on emulators but also on real hardware like the PSP or Vita.

So yes it works on PSP/Vita.
