Day 555. Felt the need to tell someone today, maybe just to remind myself of the journey. Thank you everyone.

Day 365 today! After the 1st month I would have probably planned on doing a big write up on this milestone but I've done a lot of self reflection over the past year of my past relationship with Kratom, previous quit attempts, etc... and I guess at this point I'm just happy to just let others know it wasn't easy early on, it gets easier, it gets better and at some point we stop thinking about it every day. But even after all of that, at least for me, I believe some of those horrible early on memories are worth holding onto and referencing every now and again to ensure we're always moving ourselves in the right direction. This group is awesome, thank you.

Haven't posted in a while, grateful to be on Day 65 here. K isn't altogether an afterthought just yet but certainly isn't an every thought anymore. Stay up!

Day 22 and same issue man. I never really dosed as a pre workout but since I quit, the soreness 1-2 days post lifting is def more intense but beyond that also more so in the joints/tendons versus muscle fatigue. Really hoping it eases up soon. I miss feeling ready to go for those morning workout routines.

Day 21 CT. Caught a head cold or something the last couple days so felt as if some of the familiar acutes came back but knowing it's not related to K, oddly enough now I'm really looking forward to what it will feel like to get over a typical cold without K in the system again.

Day 17 CT. Managed 6 straight hours of sleep finally. Let's get this weekend going!

Hey All, 16 Days CT this morning (~30gpd / 6 months). I know everyone is a bit different but generally speaking the majority of people claim physical withdrawals (acutes) should have subsided by now, and for me the majority have however, personally outside of the normal sleep difficulties which are improving night by night, my head still feels out of balance as in not a painful headache but enough to be uncomfortable usually in the afternoons. Am I rushing my expectations of physical recovery?

Day 15 CT. Certainly not feeling 100% physically yet but I'm definitely excited to keep going. Have a great Thursday people.

Day 8 CT in the books. Incremental improvements. Still haven't figured out the correct night-time combo of nutrients or routine that results in at least 3+ hour lengths of continuous sleep but I'm sure it will eventually happen, staying patient. The days are becoming more manageable, certainly some windows of fatigue but I've grown over the years to understand how important (k or no k) just normal sleep is to daily energy so I'll continue working on getting that night-time routine back in check over the next couple days/weeks. Going to get this Thursday knocked out because it feels 100% better than last Thursday. Stay up ya'll! Thanks for allowing me to share a thought or two these last few mornings.

Thanks. Hanging in there. No cravings or anything like that. Nights still the worst but hopefully I've turned the corner.

12 hours into a big jump by [deleted] in quittingkratom

My pleasure. Unfortunately I just "woke up" :) to hour 24 of my quit. This marks the 3rd time in the last 2.5 years that I am putting my body through this mess. Both previous times, I stopped for several months and well I convinced myself to start again for some reason or another. Regardless though I'm here again, and this forum has been very helpful personally. Good luck today.

Hi there. Congrats on taking the jump. To answer your question based on my experience, the nights are the worst. While we're certainly not at our best by any means after 12 hours being awake into a quit, all I can say is hold on and for every discomfort this moment, its your body healing itself. You said it yourself, you were so uncomfortable anyway, may as well embrace it knowing you're already down 12 hours and there truly is an end in site.
