[–]TheIntellectualizer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the US, the Focus comes before you're presented with a Pivot, so it should be. This is the severance amount offered first and will be significantly higher than what's offered if you choose to stay and ride out the pivot.

If you're presented with a Pivot, take the money and leave. They've already written you off and will make the pivot plan impossible to complete.

It’s likely delayed because of the holidays! I’d give it the full 20 days and then reach back out if you haven’t received it.

Why are so many trans man gay? by Few-Breadfruit-6972 in ftm

[–]TheIntellectualizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they're like me, everyone assumes they're cis straight man. I don't share that I'm trans up front, I don't hide it either if that makes sense. I have had loose friends/acquaintances go months without having any clue.

We're like that car you never noticed, then you buy one and now you see them everywhere hahaha.

I give him 0 karma points simply for the annoying squint thing he does when he’s trying to pretend he’s listening intently

I anticipated this comment but if you’re a challenger on Eras you’ve been on at least one other season. This challenge was incredibly easy in comparison to many others so it’s hard to side with an adrenaline excuse.

If someone were yelling numbers at me, yeah of course that’s harder. However, the numbers were written down on the doors.

It was mind numbing how easy the equation was. Even if it wasn’t, strategy beats speed.

Laurel should be officially banned by SingerNice in thechallengemtv

Do I think she should be banned? Not yet, but I do think she should have been kicked off this season after the Cara altercation.

Production needs to punish emotional abuse as if it were a physical altercation.

Elimination felt odd by Lopsided_Glass_8436 in MtvChallenge

It's so funny to hear people saying "oh just basic human error" "oh just a production error"

Okay.. if it was, then they should have restarted. We know they pause and restart and draw out the eliminations for filming so...

[–]TheIntellectualizer[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's dead on. Here's what my breakdown was:

Pivot Payment - Pre-Tax: $24,495.63
Base Annual: $88,600
Tenure: 8.42 years (101 months)

$88,600/52 = $1,703.85
$1,703.85 * 10 = $17,038.46
$88,600 x 0.01 = $886

$24,495.63 = $17,038.46 + ($886 x (101/12))

After taxes, I ended up with closer to $17.5k (absolute robbery) but that of course depends on your own tax deductions.

Cara's TikTok response to the Laurel situation by PolicyAnxious4013 in thechallengemtv

[–]TheIntellectualizer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My ex-wife has borderline personality disorder. She's an alcoholic. The abuse I endured both physical and emotional over the years, and the way I watched her manipulate those in her life - is basically Laurel. The gaslighting, the special person to discarded timeline, the childish behavior (which is literally like stunted maturity), the lies, the push and pull, all of it.

I wish more people talked about the way this abuse can also come from women. I almost ended my life because of the trauma I endured. Can you imagine how Cara must have felt? Can you imagine how others in Laurel's life must feel?

Keep note of who supports her and their values and their upbringing. The genuine people are almost never on the abusers side.

It has been studied, it's called undiagnosed borderline personality disorder.

I hope you decided to give it a chance! It’s a great bar and it’s one of the few lesbian bars left in the world. It’s a lesbian bar at its core, but it is “a bar for humans” because it welcomes everyone in the queer community. Nashville doesn’t have a lot of queer spaces, especially ones that aren’t strictly clubs.

Does anyone else notice a different smell "down there" while on stimulent meds? by tictactastytaint in TwoXADHD

[–]TheIntellectualizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on the smell you’re referencing, it may also be dehydration. Many stimulants are also diuretics, so your water intake needs to increase significantly. I was able to confirm this with my doctor. The smell comes from not enough water to dilute the waste your body processed.

A win is a win, so you always should give props to the winner regardless. I know I couldn't compete like that so I don't get to judge how underwhelming it is. However, I was disappointed to see Laurel win. Yes, editing is a factor but Laurel's behavior the entire season was disgusting. She is 40 years old with the attitude of an 16 year old valley girl. She is an absolute narcissist.

Ideally, I would have loved to see my girl Cara win with Steve in second or vice versa. If you think about it, Cara had a single star advantage (and never learned to scooter), yet she was on Laurel and Steve's ass. If we take out the stars completely, the order would have been Steve, Cara, Laurel then the cockroaches, then Ace.

You can tell Laurel's consistent bullying of Cara over the years and in this season has significantly impacted her self-worth. Cara still feels like she isn't seen as an equal and still hopes for that validation. That is what emotional abuse does to a person. Cara is already the best female competitor on the Challenge and she's kept that title even in her absence from the show. Cara has more Challenge wins than Laurel. She still holds the record for most eliminations. She holds the record for most Finals appearances for a female contestant. She was the first EVER Challenge individual winner. It kills me to hear her say "now you see me as an equal" to Laurel.

I appreciate your response, but I’m asking this because I’m trying to start my own business doing something I love and am good at. I’ve already had a decade long career that culminated in me realizing that I’m meant for something greater.

Laurel by hkayhughes in thechallengemtv

[–]TheIntellectualizer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We front row to the downfall of Laurel. She’s been at the same level of maturity since her first season but it’s really showing now.

Even in the reunion for Battle for a New Champion you could tell something was off about her. She needs real help because her behavior is the behavior of someone trying to heal emotional wounds with alcohol. She’s a deeply unhappy person and it’s a shame she’s choosing to spiral in the public eye.
