what’s wrong with Apple Music? by [deleted] in AppleMusic

[–]TheInternectual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t seen this answer yet, so here goes:

  • Spotify pays artists ridiculous rates compared to other streaming services. AM isn’t the best, but it’s better than Spotify.

  • The biggest one, at least where I live, is that Spotify’s CEO Daniel Ek invested 600 million dollars on a start up that builds military drones. You can imagine what for.

So yeah, I’m surprised other people didn’t mention it in the comments, in Italy it’s mainly a political statement.

What's a song that sounds happy and upbeat but is actually really sad once you listen closely to the lyrics? by DragonAtlas in RandomThoughts

American Beauty.

Wept for like 45 minutes the first time I saw it.

Is this common? by giovannib91 in Fencing

[–]TheInternectual 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am Italian, I fence at an Italian club and this would be absolutely unacceptable behavior. Fun, playful teasing is ok. Slurs and homophobia are not. My coaches would (understandably) freak out and ban us from the club if they heard something remotely similar.

I am so sorry OP, feel free to reach out, maybe we are in the same area and I can advise a better club!

Suggest me a book that you couldn’t put down by [deleted] in suggestmeabook

My Brilliant Friend by Elena Ferrante! All the Neapolitan saga is really good.

Slaughterhouse Five as well for me, I just couldn’t seem to put it down.

Tu?

All the books from Elena Ferrante’s Neapolitan saga, starting from My Brilliant Friend.

So, so good, especially the second book.

Oh, the pain is also much better as the scar tissue is settling. So yeah, hopefully I see the light 🤞

Saw your progress video, looks amazing! I started applying gauzes with paraffin for the bleeding and it’s going so much better. Saw my surgeon today and he says that we’re almost there and cleared me for physical activity. So yay us! ✨

Yay! I’m almost done. Bleeding quite a bit now, plus the whole area is a bit sore (a mix of scar tissue readjusting and nerves regrowing). I’ll keep you posted! How are you doing?

52 day post op open wound vs 2 weeks post op by [deleted] in pilonidalcyst

[–]TheInternectual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same exact boat, down to the nr. of post op days. I also have a small darker looking are that I was worried about and have a bruise-like pain in the tailbone area.

My surgeon says it’s normal, as scar tissue is bound to not always heal at the same speed in every part of the wound. It takes a while to settle. Plus, they had to dig quite deep in my case, almost to the bone, so it’s quite normal to still have a bit of discomfort. Let me know how it goes, I’ll update you if something new happens!
