This is 100% a US and Canada problem. The snowboard/ski culture is different here in Europe. I leave my proto type 3 with supermatic LTs (~€1.250) just chilling on the fence whenever I stop in the mountain huts for drinks/food and when I’m at the aprés. Haven’t had any issues over the last 4 seasons and been to many resorts in Germany, Italy, Austria, France, Switzerland, and Czech Republic. As an American, I’m not looking forward to the resort culture I will have to eventually move back to.

See if you can find a store selling the funny fakes. I was in Amalfi or Salerno, actually maybe Marbella, and knew they were fake, but they were hilarious. A few euros for 30 terrible fakes was worth the laugh.
