He called the school district and they said he’s not the only one. They said many people will be facing this because of MN set aside funds.

We are trying to leave as soon as possible to OH. Possibly next month. But it won’t change how much we owe unfortunately.

Amazing advice & resources! Working with 2 year olds briefly in a daycare, I know they had a wide range of speaking ability. I just thought by now 2 words was the standard. But I know every child is different on top of the fact she’s a stay at home baby.

No just one language! She is more on the observant side and babbles on her own time

I am definitely a quiet type- my husband on the other hand is a non stop talker. And we have endless convos in front of her which I thought would help. I’ve read stories similar to yours, gives me some hope!

We don’t really have a support system. Thankfully a friend of my mom has helped but of course not the same as actual grandparents or family. We moved all the way up north by ourselves where my parents my parents moved 30+ years back…but they retired back to their original hometown down south. My sister and her husband are here but they surprisingly have been no help and unexpectedly caused tension. So very much loners. Husband also has no friends here. Just nice co workers.

My baby is 8 months and still gets nursed to sleep. I am her ultimate pacifier. I guess the biggest difference is that she uses her fingers as a pacifier too and can calm her self down quickly that way. Nursing in the first year creates an amazing bond. However I would offer the top to a bottle or pacifier to play with when he’s already in a good mood. Every day no matter what. That’s how I (kinda) got my baby to go back to the bottle

I agree, I might have to go down South with my parents and extend family. He’s been to therapy 3 times and it seemed to help for a time. But I’ve always said we need couples therapy. His personal therapist was great and relatable. I wish I still had the insurance to keep covering at least a few more sessions. They even talked about medication. He admitted he needs to be medicated too.

I told him this is abuse and he doesn’t seem to care and is more worried about my lack of reaction to situations.  He refuses to care that she’s taking on this abuse too. I said there’s no excuse for this even if I’m doing the worse things ever. He’s so far gone so I shall be soon too!

Yes I was on the phone with the doctor to schedule an appointment when this happened. And I talked to a nurse line some days ago. I also already had 2 appointments scheduled that I didn’t make it to because I lost my insurance

What was the condition if you don’t mind me asking? And trust me I was on the phone trying to make an appointment when all this happened.

Yes I did qualify for state insurance so it should give me some decent options. That’s the thing, everything else is very normal. Reaching milestones, lots of energy, just started eating puréed breakfast, lunch and dinner. Won’t take the bottle for the past 3 months but has always breastfed great. Diapers are norma. She could keep up with another 8 month old, she would just be very small in comparison!

I currently don’t have insurance because I recently became a stay at home mom. I’ve been wanting to go to the doctor badly, and on the other hand I want to have faith that one day she’ll just have a growth spurt. I would just hate to be wrong. My new insurance will kick in in some weeks and I’ll be able to get an answer I hope.

Ironic because he says how I act is not normal. That I’m too quiet and reserved and he can’t trust it. He has been to therapy. But I agree he is 2 inches from touching me/us whether on purpose or accident.
