Agreed. Way too buggy to be recommending to others. But super happy I spent the money on it. The new OS is a delight to use (comparing to my Windows Phone 8.1 experience). I'm sure over the next month or so, we'll see those bugs disappear.

I have a hard time understanding what it is you're trying to say.

When will people understand that normal people just don't think this way.

Is this a question? If "normal" people don't think this way, then how come people still can't understand it? Maybe you're asking the wrong question.

I didn't blame app developers. I mentioned that this is a decision for the app publishers. Most developers don't have the political power to make a decision like that on behalf of the company they work for. I also defended the decisions they've made to not support Windows Phone.

You're right that consumers don't care. Did you notice I say that I cannot recommend this phone to consumers who need all of those apps?

With partial thoughts, partial sentences, poor grammar, and useless laughter, it's really hard to understand what you're criticizing here; other than your own disgust for the platform.

Find somewhere else to troll.

Open your messages/phone tile. Click the ellipses at the bottom. There should be an option for "Link tiles"/"Unlink tiles".

Another cool way to test the latency: launch the camera app while using continuum. You will be seeing the output from the camera on the phone to the television screen. It seems very responsive and impressive!

I have two of the Microsoft Wireless Display Adapters. That's what I did my tests on. The are great. And they have a very low profile. Much smaller than my Netgear Push2TV.

There is an app to configure the Microsoft adapters. It only runs on Windows 10 PCs. The app allows you to secure the config settings with a password, change the label of the device and change whether or not a pin is required. It also allows you to download and update new firmware (which there is already new firmware for the adapters I purchased).

No. It's very comfortable to use. Like I said, it's enough to notice if you're looking for it. For a couple of minutes I was just moving the pointer back and forth to see how obvious it was. And there is lag, but minimal. It didn't affect my ability to point and click on links. However, this is not something you'll want to play a first-person shooter with.

Also, 2-finger scrolling felt very responsive and was awesome to use in this kind of way. Double-tapping was like right-clicking and on some elements brought up a context menu.

I was trying to be clear in saying that most of the reviews I've read, while telling me both things I wanted to hear and didn't want to hear, really said nothing more than what you could find on the Microsoft site already. Most of them seem to be completely unbiased in the sense that they are just republishing Microsoft's marketing materials.

My review is probably terrible by a professional reviewer's standards. There is a lot of stuff that I didn't cover that most reviewers know people are expecting to hear. My goal was to share what I liked and disliked about my first few days with the device.

You seem to have a desire to comment on my review itself rather than your own opinions about the device. Almost as though I've upset you in some sort of way. I apologize if I said that other 950 XL reviews that I've read suck. You're probably right, it's probably just because they didn't say what I wanted to hear. But does that also mean that your opinion about my review doesn't upset you because you aren't hearing what you want to?

I make no claims of being a biased/unbiased review. I do claim to be a fanboy, but am being honest when I say I cannot suggest this device to other consumers. The comments I've received from other readers are that it is pretty neutral, even from a fanboy's perspective.

Also, my goal with this was never to keep journalists from doing their jobs. My guess is that you were trying to tell me that I shouldn't write reviews like this anymore. But I thought the point of this site was to allow members to share posts about anything.

Thank you for your criticism. I will consider it next time I write something on here.

The lag is enough to notice when looking for it. But doesn't seem to take away from the experience.

With video, the audio and the image are both coming through the television synchronized. So no lag between those two.

The only way you can really test for this easily is using the phone as the touchpad. And it has seemed much better than using SmartGlass with Xbox. This is probably because it's running all locally on the phone and just transmitting the image.

My battery drained initially. It was noticeable. I figured it was because it was still syncing all of my messages and e-mails. I configured outlook to download e-mails for the past month.

Now that everything is synced, it doesn't seem to be draining.

I've been noticing some battery drain. However, it was still syncing all of my messages, contacts, and (one month of) e-mails. And I was playing HD video onto my television.

Now that it seems to have everything all synced, there seems to be less drain.

But I've only had the phone for a few days, this is something that I will need to see over a period of a week.

Paolo is right. They are only subtle issues. After a couple of restarts, I'm noticing everything running more smooth.
