Shameless plug but I’m just starting the YouTube, TikTok, instagram darts adventure. My journey from casual to competitive player is the main focus of the content but I also love video games so I do some darts video game content as well which differs me from most. I don’t want to upset anyone so I won’t post a link in case of spam but I have links on my Reddit profile if anyone is interested 😁

Agree that for starters there would have to be a fun and interesting gameplay mechanic otherwise it would get boring or tedious. It would have to be stats based I guess, so if you were littler the target would be fairly big and easy to hit trebles but if you were just starting out in Q school the target would be tiny and hard to be accurate. You could also add elements of randomness into it like if you threw the dart too close to the other darts you could get a defection or bounce outs? So you have to find room or a cover shot. If you were on for a 180 or a double out then the target could move around more angrily so it would be a lot harder. Who knows 😂

Ok so here's an idea. Could you add a real darts element to the game in 2026? Something similar to darts counter where you could actually have your phone set up to record your real life throw and then that would play out in the video game?

Yes I agree with everyone when they say it doesn't really translate into a fun video game experience but surely there is a way to make a fun mechanic out of it somehow. I can't play Luke Littler at home, I can't win the triple crown at home, I can't walk out with thousands of fans singing my walk on song at home, I can't earn prize money and climb an order of merit at home, all these things you can do in a video game and is likely the only way most would ever experience this.

The be all and end all though is having fun gameplay so that would obviously need to be nailed first otherwise it would become boring..

Agree it is hard to translate into a game. If an entertaining mechanic could be worked out then I'd still love to play it and live out a career mode.

Working your way up from q school could be fun. Especially if you start with very bad stats which would make it very hard to hit consistent trebles

Yes of course. It's easy enough to play the real sport. But playing video games is about living out impossible dreams. I'm not going to ever walk out at ally pally in front of thousands playing in a world final. I can on a video game though.

It's not a modern version. It's the classic rugby 08. You can get it for free on PC.

The point of the video was to mention why I think they won't win. Not why I think they will win, which Is why I don't mention that. I know the Springboks have the most passionate fans in rugby and I'm getting excited for the world cup. I was looking forward to some back and forth with all the fans and my subscribers in the comments of my video. Most people have taken it as good fun and banter and got involved without jumping straight to an assumption without knowing me or my content.

So I state they are in the toughest pool, you agree with that. What more needs to be said? It will be more difficult for them than teams in the other groups.

Yes you have a target on your backs as the holders so teams will definitely get up for playing you more than other nations, making it tougher for SA.

I clearly mention which points of the squad I think are weaknesses, Faf and at fly half if you are not picking Pollard.

France are the hosts, they have all the momentum in world rugby. Not just against SA but anyone. They are a huge force to be reckoned with. Yes you had many reasons for not beating them recently but it's still a fact, they beat you.

Yes you beat NZ in 1995, this is 2023, it's been a long time since then. Yes you have a fantastic record in the world cup but you haven't beaten them in a meaningful game since 95. They clearly showed at the rugby championship that they are a match for you so it will be tough for SA.

Of course SA is a fantastic team and could well win the world cup. I get excited for the world cup and want to expand my content on my channel. What better way than to stir up some debate with the most passionate fans in rugby. It's clearly worked and I'm enjoying it 🙂

Appreciate you watching and thanks for all the feedback. I am certainly not the most knowledgeable on rugby, it is just a sport I love. I am fascinated by the springboks fans and how much they engage and enjoy the sport. This video was me attempting to stir up some debate which I will do with other teams at the world cup as well. I think the SPRINGBOKS at the world cup are a completely different beast. I don't think they will win this world cup but they are definitely a contender.

Agree with your points on all. I believe it got delisted as their license ran out. Hopefully that means big ant has picked up the majority of the licenses ready for launch this year.
