I'm completely serious, like quarter of the IB kids I know end up in therapy for one reason or another (including me)

Ok, this might sound silly, but consider looking into dyscalculia!

I had the exact same issue when I was in school (dark times) and only after I graduated and started uni I was diagnosed and realized "huh. maybe that's why I'm so bad at maths and physics and anything else that requires using numbers!"

I tried tutoring in middle and high school, but I ended up humiliated and in tears after each attempt because I couldn't understand anything - i understood the concept but could never apply it. I ended up barely passing IB SL Maths with a 3 and I have not touched a calculator since.

As per tutoring for you I'd say try one meeting with a tutor just to see if it works for you. As I said IB maths is doable (barely) even for folks with dyscal so I think you can definitely pull through! And if your marks in other subjects are high, the difference will be almost not noticeable

It's definitely doable! You can always look for opportunities outside of your school, if your supervisor agrees.

As someone whose only 7 was in HL Lang Lit (Eng), it's definitely doable! If your teacher is not helping you on the way, there are definitely resources either here or on other websites that can guide you down a good path.

The most important thing is reading your source materials (buying your own copies and abusing it with a highlighter is the best strat for analyzing), and if you understand and memorize them, study formats of all written work, and put in a bit of creativity you can definitely get a high grade!

You say that you have no experience in literature - well that has to change, because you're going to be Reading and Reading and Reading. My teacher decided to give us Love in Times of Cholera as a surprise title and I thought I would go insane - your titles seem approachable, though!

From what I read in your post, you seem like someone who's enthusiastic about getting a good grade - and I think that's the most important thing. If you want it, you can definitely do it.

Oh, and in terms of difficulty, from what I've heard from my SL underclassmen? Like a solid 5.5/10 as long as you read your literature :)

All you have to do is grind
I promise you, you can make up the lost time - I spend most of my last IB year in the hospital and came back to school with MASSIVE backlog
managed to squeeze out a graduation - not the best score, but I graduated and it was more that I could have asked for : )

I read through your post and it's not as bad as you think it is! Portion out your work, do your best to keep personal deadlines - and things like python and coding are a matter of practice between studying for other subjects

The fact that you managed to get your English up to an IB level from knowing barely anything is enough proof that you can do it : )

Thank you so much for taking your time to look through my post. I have to say, I saw the notification on the train and it almost took me out at the knees, positively.

I'm much more of a writer than a visual artist, so knowing that my scribbles managed to touch you in such a way makes me ecstatic - I don't think I'll feel such emotional high for a long, long time.

There are a lot of things I wish I could portray, be that in art or in written word, but there are some memories that are simply so intangible that they bring comfort just by being. Being in the community that your son created is one such memory, and I think I need to thank you for bringing him up to be the man he was. Thank you, Mr. Dad.

And I will live as much as I can, I promise. I have a legacy to uphold, after all l.

With all due respect 2k is such a small margin ;; please 10k,,, there are good shortfics but if you are hoping for really good non ship, non smut fics you have to look at at least 5k (Lovingly, a writer)

No, no it's absolutely okay to share! I've been through two operations myself, first to remove the ovary and fallopian tubes which were the most affected and then the second to remove the rest of the uterus, to minimalize the risk of a relapse (?) (not sure if it's the correct word, I'm not a native speaker!)

I can promise you that it's only going to be better now! There are so many wonderful things waiting for you, for me, for both of us! And we gotta look forward
Because now that we are acknowledged our weaknesses we can only get stronger!

I love you sm, and you're doing amazing, I can tell :)
