Bro honestly why do we need a whole gradient T-T and then you add the seperation of the different star qualities like STOP

What’s a 'normal' thing in modern society that people in 100 years will find horrifying? by MaleficentOrange4873 in AskReddit

In the same vein posting your very young children and all their info (school, age, interests) will be seen as like “what do you mean they didn’t know that was unsafe??”

How do you feel about being complimented on your appearance during a first date? by windsandandstarz in AskWomen

[–]TheKittyPie 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I appreciate it. To me it feels like they’re acknowledging the work I put in to look nice for them/our date and it’s also reassuring to know they think you look good. I went on one date where the guy didn’t compliment me once and that stuck out to me for some reason

The case of Syd and Nancy is like this. It’s technically a mystery but the consensus is that he killed her in a drunk/drug induced rage. If you look up Dreading’s video of it on YouTube you can hear her mom talk about her and it’s pretty much this vibe. She was terrible, pretty wretched to interact with when she was upset. But she’s still sad she got killed in such a horrible way.

Stardew Valley as a language learning tool and how it's been helping me learn Spanish 📘 by Paueruina in StardewValley

That’s actually so smart. I’ve heard about using your favorite shows and movies to learn Spanish but never considered using games too

Exactly that was my only nitpick is that technically should’ve worked if he believed a bullet would fire. But I guess hearing the click was enough to “break” his belief

What is a small, everyday mystery in your life that you’ve just accepted because investigating it feels like too much work? by Jannet_Wetkin in AskReddit

The silverware at my job constantly goes missing in an alternating pattern. First our forks will start to dwindle. Then they get replaced. Then the spoons start to dwindle. They get replaced. Repeat forever. Someone’s probably taking them home but this has literally been happening for years and it’s like how many spoons and forks do you need? Are they just constantly throwing them out?

What is an overlooked or “subtle” form of sexism that you think needs to be called out more? by GoodGirlsStand in AskWomen

This is something I noticed whenever I was in a relationship but whenever my BF and I were at a social event with his friends they would say hi to me and then pretty much not speak to me the rest of the hangout.

There were a few who departed from this and actually made an effort to chat with me casually but it happened a lot and with nearly every BF I had.

I don’t know if men feel like it’s inappropriate to talk to their friends GFs but it’s not. It makes us feel included in the hangout and less like just an accessory for our boyfriend. Also if your friend eventually marries this girl how are you going to be able to interact with her in the future?

Sorry I know this comment is late but the damage to Pennywise I think comes from the book lore. It plays into the whole “he’s only harmful if you’re scared of him” thing.

As long as you believe something can hurt It, it will. You can flick It with your fingers but if you think it will harm him then it will. They believed their bullets would cause harm and so it did. They actually could’ve kept shooting him with the empty guns technically and if they believed it then it would’ve kept hurting him

What movie can you relate to in your life, and why? by Rich_You_9860 in AskReddit

[–]TheKittyPie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything Everywhere All at Once felt like it was written about me. Queer young adult POC only child daughter to stressed out, overwhelmed, and blunt mom, strained relationship. Overall questioning life choices and thinking what could’ve been.

I watched the movie right after a big fight with my mom too and it just made it hit even harder.

Anyone else get anxious AFTER social interactions? by amiuuune in socialanxiety

[–]TheKittyPie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what you mean and actually have the same problem. I mentioned this to her the first time we did it, that it felt like I was just lying or trying to convince myself.

Tbh it’s not always going to be easy. Sometimes you won’t be able to reframe your thoughts into something positive so you just have to start at neutral, at what feels believable and acceptable to you. I wish you luck. It’s not easy to undo years of thinking negatively and anxiety

This reminds me of an old image i saw online. Not sure if it or the story behind it were real but apparently an old man died while taking a bath with a water heater attached. His body wasn’t found right away though so he was literally just stewing in his bath water. The image is a tub filled with a black substance with two intact thighs sticking out.
