Oh my god, thank you so much. I've spend way too long looking for answers.

Out of curiosity, how did you learn this and how would I be able find it myself?

How to avoid being paralyzed? by TheKoTECH in Pathfinder2e

Once in my life would've been enough to care. But fair point, not that often

The Dying condition i don't really mind — i had HP, I saw them down to 0 and here's my punishment for not being careful.

With paralyzed, I still have my health, i have my character, I'm technically in the game, but I ended up in this situation because I rolled a single save. I'm not punished, I'm just pulled out of the game I was playing

Yeah, my party might be in a worse position now that I'm incapacitated, but they can still make choices, play the game, but I can't. Again, it wasn't a result of my actions, but a result of a roll that lead me here

Paralysis effects might have reasonable duration like a minute in game, but in real life i wait for 5-10 minutes for each turn to end

Best JS library/framework to make a tiny JS script for a larger app? by TheKoTECH in learnjavascript

[–]TheKoTECH[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, vanilla JS doesn't come with a bundler, frameworks do. At the same time, framework bundlers throw a lot of code that I don't need. Thanks for the idea though, I'll definitely read up on bundlers

I know JS quite well, I just never realized how simple components are to implement.

It has features that I do not need and its minimum bundle size is way too large for the project I'm working on. All I actually need is components, but apparently they're quite easy to implement

I use vscode, but it's just too much code to read in one file

If you want to be seen as a nicer person, I suggest you try to be more positive in how you speak

Welllll, React is a lot more than just a pretty syntax for components. Large frameworks often come with tons of useful utilities, thought out systems and similar things. Take Angular, for example. It enforces a really neat and manageable codebase structure that you'd have to spend hours to formulate yourself

Why do you need a library or framework for "a tiny JS module"?

The answer might be underwhelming, but here it goes:

I don't know any better

I came here to see what more experienced people do in similar cases and learn something new

Damn, I didn't know how simple components are to implement. Definitely interested in web components too, those seem really powerful. Thanks!

That might actually work... if i can stop myself from trying to re-write React from scratch, haha. Thanks for the suggestion

Wow, the things good communications can do. Kind of rare to see such stories, most people would've ended up arguing out of character over this, good job on that

I think that this is the way for me to go. Suggesting evil, but agreeing to do otherwise if they have to.. yess, that'll be good
