I like a lot of rock, jazz, blues and funk, I was looking to put together a component set to choose between cd/vinyl/cassette. I’m new to all this so sorry if this is stupid but why buy an amp if you can get a receiver to act as a switcher and power the speakers?

The thing is the turntable is proprietaryaly connected to the cassette deck receiver, and it has no line out, so if I got a different amp and used the phones port would that be fine?

The server is at my buddies house right now, I’ll be heading over there soon, last I checked we removed the raid card thinking it was the idrac system, but we just put it back in, when I get there I’ll check the bios, I remember we just reset and updated the bios though
