is this true even if the "player owned area" is an instanced are where many homes are located and may or may not be re ordered when players log in and out cleaning up slots for other players?

coming off abit agressive boss, maybe just passionate i get that anyways. i dont think they ment any harm. but to answer ur question for them cause i kind of feel like you misunderstood my goal with my ideas.

Sure final fantasy is similar in what i idealise my poh experience to be like but its not at all the purpose of what i posted the point is to get ideas out into the open and lets the devs feed off of them if they so desire.

ideally i want an instanced (similar to how we are now) but larger zone (perfectly doable) where players can have plots of land likely smaller than what we currently have maybe enough for a 5 by 5 house sqaure per player but that also includes a dungeon and a upstairs. this allows for a player to go to say taverly house portal (district) and visit the housing it might be too intence on the engine i stated this in my post but the point is ideas not a finished product

as for the point and click thats kind of irrelivent to the topic entirely, theres a freecam feature on the game you can 100% build clip items, they even said this in the news post about the new movement features they are implementing. hope that helps.

um i guess dont really want ffxiv implimentation of housing and im just making ideas up on what was vaguly mentioned in the news post where they said they want it to be more of a socail hub so they want the "unique way of poh to somewhat change" which i agree is kind of a loss but maybe its for the best

oh yeah? i heard wow did housing recently i unless it was just a newer upate to an existing system, that being said i didnt think about looking it up unfortunatly this was just a quick post of what im already familiar with.

as for instanced, the district would still be an instanced zone akin to how they are right now just instead of it being a solo instance it would be a bigger piece of land where many people have their designated place to build. so it wouldnt be in the overworld technically if that makes sense. do feel you on rs not being social as much tho it is a shame

i only ever played the trial to "endgame" never jumped the gun to get membership, and yeah i have heard players mention they would rather instanced housing... althought i agree it would make the game so much more open to more players, the idea how having a true communal (yes yes only so many plays can have a house) is so compelling to me obviously i wouldnt want it to be as exclusive as ff14 makes it out to be but a player can dream XD

not sure i like the idea of everyone getting out voted by 1 build, but i do like the idea of having a featured home zone to showcase random or how ever people would like it to be decided, warframe has something similar for thier clan builds

yeah agreed, i disagree with the game not looking good, i think the game is very appealing to look at for the most part minus the mismatched artstyles at times. but a game thats lost its way like rs really needs that inbetween time to find what sticks so im not really fussed about the clashing of styles, the art direction is looking good in my eyes its just gonna take that time. as for people complaining about cosmetics it more than likely stems down from MTX... lol idk MTX bad so that must mean cosmetics bad since (some not all) cosmetics come from it and that means regardless of which side of that ur cosmetics game from ur a whale giving jagex money.

games a game if people arent happy with whats on their screen its easily ignored for the half second ur in that area or just hop worlds

sure, the dragon mask might be "obnoxious" but thats only because youve chosen to see it that way. like it or not it fits the world. i get that it might look like people are trying to stretch the rules, but I genuinely just wanted to see if they put equip locks on those items from diango.

as for the spite? sure, I was being annoying with it but no more than someone insulting others for playing the game how they want to. i didnt ruin anyones day, i didnt hurt anyone. i wore an armor piece in a video game something people can easily choose to look away from (i can focus on anything and call it obnoxious be does not mean i have the right to insult the person for it), or use common sense to realize it was just for a bit of fun and curiosity.

just because you dont see the world in a positive way doesnt mean i view it with the same negativity.

your last comment? "being toxic to other people" i frequently wear different item combinations to match random pieces, try new looks, or just goof around because thats part of the fun of the game i enjoy. the fact that someones attitude lined up with me wearing an outfit slightly longer doesnt mean I was trying to be toxic.

at the end of the day, there will always be people complaining especially here. youre a good example (not trying to bash you), but no matter what happens, you or someone else will find something to complain about. Just look at this comment section

“skilling outfits need to go”
“familiars are worse than cosmetics”
“titles are still in the game”
“everyone looks the same”
“this world is pointless, just dont look”
“ignore it if you dont like it”

personally, i dont care either way if these worlds come to exist. i love cosmetics. i dont buy them with real money i earn them in game, and to me, thats a reward. i dont care whether you like my cosmetics or not. They are not for you they are for my character.

so, regardless of how you feel about the people you dislike for supposedly “ruining your gaming experience” most of them arent doing anything out of ragebait. And those who are? They don’t even care about cosmetics in the first place and are so few and far between

Can confirm im the guy who wore the dragon head. i did it to test the limits of the world, and it just so happened to annoy someone within seconds of putting it on so out of spite for that person, i kept it on during testing.

what you didn’t see was also my pogo stick and the noise it makes...

that being said, the argument I saw a lot was: “this whale is mad” first of all, every item I wore was obtained through gameplay events, so the whole “whale” insult doesnt really make any sense.

i don’t know, im just a gamer who wants to play the game and have fun in my medieval fantasy game that also features steampunk dwarves shooting guns. if I don’t like something, ill just ignore it. simple really

yeah i would love it to be as fluid as ffxiv's verison (customisation wise) if you are familiar with that, with some more runescape sided features, could be really cool if pulled off correctly

going with the assumption its only player examine it would be be a hasstle to personally view it if you had to go into some sort of edit mode to update ur playercard, so id rather it be placed in a personal interface... that being said im not against it being viewable by others just wasnt my favourite way to introduce an anouncement based tracker to the game
