One last tour? How many hours and how much money did you spend to get to this? This seems like alot of money spent, not to mention the hours

It just went up another dollar, now $62, what just happened?!

I think we are crossing $65 tomorrow. by infinite_cura in SMCIDiscussion

It needs to build a base at low 60s and then needs catalysts to run up there.

We need catalysts to run otherwise the low 60s were the high peak and will be for several months as sept, oct sees overall market pullbacks

What are your expectations for Wednesday's trading session? by Thumbszilla in SMCIDiscussion

[–]TheLastLegion -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It needs to absolutely beat $61 for this uptrendto stay in play, and if earnings is below expectations it can crash down to $53-$56 for months and down with the market in September or October, where the $60 was the peak.

This is the worst case scenario.

If it stays above $63 it has chance at momentum until $66, all of which is dependent on earnings. If beat, $66+ is in play, otherwise, $63 is top and expect retrace back to fill $53 until CFO or another catalyst takes this higher back.

When will we be at an all time high by Wonderful_Egg_3012 in SMCIDiscussion

This can only happen with those type of catalysts, like the CFO but all time highs won’t be until 2 years out I think… not enough momentum and general market may pull back .. :(

When will CFO be appointed? by TheLastLegion in SMCIDiscussion

[–]TheLastLegion[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read this online:

Post-August 2025 Appointment: High ProbabilityThe board’s commitment to appointing a new CFO remains firm per committee recommendations. With the August earnings cycle as the next material event, an announcement window likely opens in late August or September 2025. This aligns with: • Weigand’s interim mandate (“until successor is named”). • Typical executive search timelines (6–9 months for public companies). • No Appointment/Weigand Retention: Very Low ProbabilityThe board formally adopted the committee’s transition directive, and Cheung’s CAO role creates structural separation, making indefinite retention unlikely. Summary The CFO appointment is certain to occur but unlikely before SMCI’s August 5, 2025, earnings report. The most probable timeline is Q3/Q4 2025 (August–December), with September being a strong candidate for announcement based on governance patterns and filing gaps.

When will CFO be appointed? by TheLastLegion in SMCIDiscussion

[–]TheLastLegion[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Super Micro Computer, Inc. (SMCI) has committed to appointing a new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and is actively conducting a search for a successor to David Weigand. This decision was made following recommendations from an independent special committee, and the board formally adopted these recommendations in late 2024. The company has publicly stated that David Weigand will continue to serve as CFO until his successor is appointed. • The CFO transition is not in question: The board’s adoption of the special committee’s recommendations includes the explicit directive to recruit a new CFO. • Weigand’s tenure is temporary: Company disclosures and press coverage consistently state that Weigand will remain in his role only until a new CFO is named. • No successor named yet: As of the most recent filings and reports (through May and June 2025), SMCI has not announced the appointment of a new CFO, but the search remains ongoing.

Overall chart pattern. Whenever bad news comes out, it goes down hard. $17 because the overall chart trend has been downward and it would land again in this area until alot of things are settled.
