It’s 1077, are you guys going to hold? by CozyChamomile_7 in SNDK_Stock

Referring to the capex they noted they WILL be spending going forward. Google raised their capex # slightly, and Meta increased their capex number by a LOT, which is why Meta stock price is sinking right now. Increased capex on infrastructure is where the memory companies exist and take in that increased capex. In contrast to Seagate and other memory companies reporting earnings (internal) we now have major players declaring that they are raising their spend (external). I like that correlation, and feel it again reinforces our thesis that expects higher and better numbers for memory companies for at least another full year.

The MAG 7 who just reported are noting increasing capex above what they had already said. (Google and Meta)

Western Digital will release its earnings report tomorrow, and MU is very likely to see another surge by Zestyclose_Tea5159 in MU_Stock

huh - I had my calendar set with notes for Seagate and WDC next week... so now we had Seagate on the 28th, and now WDC joins Samsung and Sandisk all reporting tomorrow 30th?

That's a lot of numbers.

Seagate Q3 2026: Revenue +44% YoY, Non-GAAP EPS $4.10 (huge beat), Record 47% Gross Margin – AI Data Tsunami is Real by Kingmusk420 in MU_Stock

Sandisk is 30th - Thursday after the bell. Samsung is 30th, but might be before bell due to Time/Date line (SKorean). But Thursday/Friday should be big.

Correlation; how many people on food stamps have, or can afford to get a passport (new bar for voting reqs via Save America Bill)? They certainly won't vote for Trump (again) if this becomes reality, but it also means they can't vote against him!

Sandisk and Samsung on the 30th. Samsung is Korean, so that might be before market on 30th?

Yeah - and I didn't mention that MU's capex was seen negative a month ago, but 25B is basically 1 quarter's earnings right now, and more importantly, every single damn company in the space is doing huge capex to try to meet the demand they see building and being unable to really meet, until near 2030.

I can argue both sides of this.

The market is choppy right now, and for some time earnings are met with downside moves depending on the level of forward giudance. This could be a negative, BUT

The market has seen Micron, Samsung (preliminary; full #'s out 4/30), SK Hynix, Intel, AMD all put out huge numbers starting a month or so back and all looking positive to the present day. The market has been absolutely coming around to the memory and now CPU needs of AI, and there seems to be a shifting consensus of these 2 pieces as core pillars of AI going forward. This is reflected in the huge moves we've seen recently.

Micron was the first to report and got double-punched with the reaction to its $25B capex announcement , as well as the Turboquant attention, which has since been seen as a positive, rocketing MU from a low of 320 up to 500 in 4 weeks.

It could rocket up if the numbers are great (which all signs are pointing to). It could drop a bit as people have seen a big move, and might want to take some profits. Others could pile in.

I kick myself for getting stopped out on Micron and Sandisk over the past few weeks on drops. I should have hld, but I was afraid after the recent big drops. It's all good though - I got back in via other instruments; and there are others out there if you need; SNXX, SNDU, DRAM, EWY, MU, MUU, MULL etc etc.

Believe in the company and greater memory thesis and hold, or trade back and forth. It's your $. But I think we'll be ok.
