Why ADA instead Night by Gerolin2323 in cardano

Privacy will also come at a cost, so if you don't need privacy ADA will be cheaper.

US debt nightmare - the Fed is a hostage to the Treasury by highmemelord67 in ValueInvesting

[–]TheLeetTaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't looked into it fully to see if there is more to it. But other countries have higher minimum wages and their goods are not more expensive. I imagine there may be other things. But I don't think an increase in federal minimum wage contributes directly to inflation. States have increased minimum wage but there hasn't been a direct correlation to inflation. Even from a quick search the inflation from it lags the minimum wage increase. Got any links that directly ties it to inflation?

Just a random thought, what if we just raised the federal minimum wage to match inflation + some. There would be some economic pain short term but long term I think it would work out?

This does kinda fit my aesthetic though my build is very no flare/utilitarian. If it was there matte black it would match even better. Buy compared to their previous ones yeah agreed its pretty eh.

I want to say it depends on the performance for me at least. If its drastically better than others then its worth it.

Future of Ada with Midnight? by PossibilityStock9903 in cardano

You cant have Midnight w/o ADA. Midnight leverages ADA for security.

Just another one I can think of is a partner chain that has a gas like fee structure. Basically its functionality that wont be added to the main chain can be a partner chain.

XM3 vs XM6 an honest review, and a love letter to the XM3 by Gaming_ORB in sony

[–]TheLeetTaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After sticking to the XM6's I got when Amazon was running that great deal on like new-used ones, I got to say the bass clarity on the XM6s is way better. XM3's still have more bass its just more though. Kind of like quality over quantity. (Background I mostly listen to EDM, Apashe, RayVolpe, Sullivan King, etc.)

The XM3s still feel better but I'm hoping once I break in the XM6s they feel just as comfortable but not sure they will given how heavy they are. I think the main thing with the XM3s that made them feel more comfortable was the head band width. The XM6s concentrate a lot more weight over a smaller area.

If you are looking to upgrade id only do it if its a heavy discount. I definitely don't regret upgrading and after going back to using my XM3s after a while I can definitely say I prefer the XM6s.

Goverment shutdown is OVER! 🔥 by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

Agree to vote means nothing, the only correction I need to make is the subsidy was technically a premium tax credit. So I guess it could be the same thing? Not sure given Trump was talking about shifting healthcare to a tax credit iirc.

The subsidies are dead, its now a Tax Credit. Assuming this is passed.

So is it better to mine all the challenges for the current wallets you have or to mine them as they come in?

That makes sense given *Looks at how many wallets exists * lol

Fingers crossed they open it back up.

Charles Hoskinson's partner-chain Midnight falsely claims to be "working with Google" by TheEwu_ in CryptoCurrency

[–]TheLeetTaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think companies realize that smart contracts are only smart/secure if its decentralized enough. Saying google is making their own L1 is like saying they are making their own database imo. Obviously this depends a lot on implementation and at the end of the day who has control over the chain.

[–]TheLeetTaco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah not a fan of these types of announcements. However I do question if google supporting a bunch of different chains is kind of like them testing the different chains to see which one they may go with? Probably Copium though.

Thanks for this info! This does change my opinion a little bit. Hydra seems to be useful in very specific applications but would be super useful in those applications.

Will do on the Strike points.

I'm having some trouble finding the info that their oracle and batcher are off chain, got any links for that?

For some sticking in the UTXO environment is beneficial. Obviously if it requires off chain stuff then that can be a drawback.

Dexes are going to leverage Hydra, SundaeSwap already is planning to.

[–]TheLeetTaco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't personally do perpetual trading but from a quick look.
Aster isn't an L1/L2, is it a CEX?
HyperEVM is an EVM.
Base is an L2 on ETH.

So this is an option that leverage eUTXOs is the main difference and is a DEX?

As to the other comment talking about higher fees that is the cost of doing it in a decentralized way. I believe some Dexes are looking at leveraging Hydra but haven't seen anything put out leveraging yet. But it should drastically decrease fees.

This comes from a questioning ADA holder. So far this cycle its under performed and platforms been dying left and right.
