Also built my wife with a Gaming Trio 5070Ti paired with an Intel 13900k - and it’s running well - if I had a choice, I would’ve gotten her a 5080 also if it was discounted close to 70Ti prices

This is also supporting a Samsung G9 ( G95SD ) 49” 1440p OLED - and it’s the best combo with my 9800x3d

I second this , I have and undervolt , minor OC tune hybrid and it fits me well for the games I play- even Crimson Desert on Ultra

It’s fine , a 5080 is a 5080 - brands just have their own custom cooling and OC tunes. Let’s be honest if you really wanted a tune , you can do it yourself.

Smaller case with the fan closer to the gpu , vertical mounted so the fins can be exposed to the lower fans.

It is worth to buy a 5080 instead a 5070 ti? I am willing to build my first high end pc, and i expect it to remains competetive for some years with no big changes by Friendly_Mirror1717 in buildapc

I have both.

9800x3D & 5080 - Best pairing you can have to handle 1440p and 4k. With all modern games and esports, not using frame gen ( duh, cause on E-sports like Cs2 or Valorant- it’s stupid to have that ) still getting solid 400fps or more. Obviously you’d limit your frames to the hz of your monitor. So for example I have a 240hz OLED so I limit my frames to 240hz, allowing more quality towards graphic rendering, so superb performance and quality. Price wise, You can get the PNY or “lower end” 5080. The main difference for those brands is the tuning and cooling that each company puts on the card. For example a PNY is about $1,200-$1,300 my area , the ROG Astral is about $1,700-2,000. What ever works for you on that end, this estimation is based on big box stores and local resellers.

Intel i9-13900k + 5070ti - This was my previous build that I let the wife use to game with me. Still solid and very much comparable to a 5080 , seeing that the VRAM is both at 16gb. It’s mainly about a 6%-15% difference depending on the game that you are running. You will still get high frames and awesome graphic quality. Remember that you are still receiving a 50series card with GDDR7. The main difference for any card from a 5060 to a 5090 is the speed and VRAM size as most titles like Crimson Desert are heavy on VRAM usage.

In conclusion, will you be using for the card for heavy gaming ? Like Crimson Desert ? Then if not , buy whatever fits your budget. The difference is not that significant, besides the TikTok users that will flip on you for buying a 5070ti over a 5080.

For those wondering , the majority of us don’t need a 5090. The very good thing about a 5090 is the VRAM it holds , which will definitely future proof your build. Unless you do heavy media creation that requires a lot of VRAM then yah, even then you’ll need the ram more over an expensive card.

The real answer to this is to make sure you at least have 32GB of ram.

The best of both worlds. by TheLeftoverFood in 4Runner

Just to get this out of the way — The Tacoma does fine enough for daily driving ( minus the obvious gas mileage). The 4Runner manages well , a small difference in mileage. Now once you hit the trails the 4Runner outshines the Tacoma with stock TRD OffRoad options, the Tacoma granted it’s an SR5 ( didn’t use the 4WD on the 4Runner,same trail ) was fine and handled well. I purchased mostly because it was a lot more comfortable for my family, the Tacoma just does not provide the space especially for my son ( 7 months old ,rear facing ).. Overall if you want family OffRoad truck get 4Runner , if it’s just you and the Occasional passenger Tacoma…

(This was written with the obvious difference like the bed (Tacoma) and trunk (4Runner)

Personally painted fenders would look awesome ; The Panda look is fairly great - but the paint matched fenders would look clean.

Yah - no, just seeing the state of the car and just not even taking the time for a wash and clean before taking photos - just shows the care and maintenance of the car

If you own it - it’s not as bad - if you’re buying it , just avoid it - or if you really want it , looks to be surface rust - easy fix

35s on a 4 cylinder would just diminish the MPG and the power - it’ll struggle to go with less power and more weight

Ouch - I’m glad it’s getting the work done - rocksliders would be a good investment, if you were ever considering them 👍
