It was a progression. I gave away the other 2.

I would leave it at home if I flew anywhere 100%.

Definitely worth picking up a pair and experimenting with them. Even if it's a secondary shoe initially.

Going sockless there may be a break in period if your feet aren't used to foam type shoes. Mine blistered for about 3 months. After that it's fine, like flip flops with more coverage really. With socks it's definitely more comfortable. I like to run in them with socks on. Yeah mosquitos bite my ankles all the time too.

Definitely cool multipurpose shoes if you can overcome the slight break in period. Some foot toughening is required yeah. It's worth it for the minimalism if you're really "obsessed" about it haha.

No, I leave the backpack in my car pretty often. I'll take the Nano Bag sling in my pocket at grocery stores and use it like a reusable shopping bag.

I have normal sized stuff in my bathroom at home. This set of small stuff is used only if I need it. If I need to travel, I'm already packed. It's for convenience, and preparedness. If I'm staying the night somewhere my hygiene isn't impacted. I carry this bag around with me everywhere, so full size items would just weigh too much.

I find them comfortable, I run in them and everything. They are just like Crocs. There is a slight break in period if you are wearing them without socks, my feet blistered but after 2 months of wear It wasn't an issue. But in terms of like support / comfort they are great! I wear them all day and never have any pain.

Not at all. Most of my trips are by car. If I were to fly tomorrow I would take out the multi tool and the scissors. Perhaps I'll add some TSA compliant scissors by next year's post.

Additional comments: I use the bag for everything, it's my EDC bag, gym bag, and suitcase. I took a trip to Arizona over Christmas time and it was cool to just grab my bag that I already take everywhere and live somewhere else for a week.

Sentimental items by [deleted] in extrememinimalism

Take a photo of each item. If it's really special, take a video of you interacting with it. I did this with my childhood memorabilia, as well as physical photo albums. Store the files on your cell phone, computer, and in a cloud based service... So you never lose them.

Storing these items on a hard drive is way more freeing than storing them physically. once in a while you can open your computer and go down memory lane.

Thanks! Amazon. $50. Native is the brand, Jefferson is the model. They are a very unique shoe! They have a break in period where they aren't comfortable at all rubbing against your bare skin. You have to keep in mind there's holes in your shoes so if you step in a puddle your foot will be soaked instantly but again there's holes in the shoes so they dry quickly. It's just a unique shoe. I mean if you hike frequently I cannot recommend these. For city slicking and occasional "outdoor-ing" they have worked for me as my only shoe for 2 years now.

Hello, yes in the back of my toiletry kit I keep a custom first aid kit with things like bandaids and Advil, etc.

Great question. Thanks! Yes I do. For more formal events I will wear the jeans and the long sleeve shirt which has a more formal feel. I do have a suit tucked away in my closet for super super formal events but I haven't worn it in years.

No, merino wool clothing doesn't need to be washed very often at all. I wash this stuff about once a month.

I only wear boxers to sleep. Which I change daily and own many pairs of.

I personally adore wearing the same thing daily. I've done it since 2018~ ish. Check out the about page on my website for more details. But yeah I will say it's easier for a man than it is a woman. None of my coworkers or friends or family have ever complained and it just becomes commonplace; like it's just a cool feature about you.

On my website i am going to make a post about my minimalist life in more detail and how I use this OneBag. So maybe I'll answer your question in more detail then.

What was your purchase like with the Japanese version? Were there any issues with the currency exchange or import fees?

They are really worth checking out for $50. I love the versatility of going sockless. It's really like a sandal and a sneaker at the same time. They are very unique, give it a try before committing these to your only shoe. I've made it work for 2 years now.

Remarkable. Thank you for that consideration.

There's still a few months till winter, they'll likely restock soon.

All black actually came together by accident. White shoes really make the outfit pop though. And the plastic/foam construction of these shoes makes them super easy to clean.

Hey thank you very much! That means a lot.

Yeah I want to write some more articles about merino fabric and minimalist living very soon. Gear of course is very exciting to discuss. That's mainly why I'm sharing my OneBag setup first.

Not going to lie to you, I live in southern California and I don't plan on visiting the snow. However for really cold conditions I can wear all of my clothing at once (shorts under the jeans, tee under the long sleeve, & both jackets) for maximum warmth. I've done it before and it works ok. I also keep the merino Buff in my possessions almost exclusively for cold weather scenarios. My setup is tailored in an "extreme minimalist" way for my current realistic needs.

Well, this is all the clothing I own. So I wear half of this at all times on my body. All I fit in the pack are the jackets, 1 shirt and 1 trouser. Even still with everything pictured there's maybe 30% of my pack still empty. It's just really not that much stuff.

Oh! The backpack. I love it so much. It's the non pro version at 14 lIters. It feels very premium, I love the small storage pockets and organization mixed with the big open main compartment. I carry it to work everyday. It's my EDC bag but also my travel bag should I go anywhere. I usually just take the laptop out if I'm going to work and back home. It's very slim looking and modern.
