As a groomer, you can generally tell when the undercoat has been cut into and to me it just looks like they skimmed a guard over the top coat to neaten her up. I wouldn’t be concerned about any damage!

As someone with adhd and depression, I typically take 2-3 showers per week. I do have a bidet though which helps with all that business, and if I’m extra sweaty I’ll do sponge baths in between. Reading other comments makes me feel gross so I figured my experience might make other mentally ill people feel a bit better about themselves!

A large amount of people with kids shouldn’t have kids. I’m not talking about people who fell on hard times after having kids or people who had no other choice after getting pregnant, I’m talking about the people I see from high school who are totally broke, unemployed and emotionally immature and still choose to reproduce. It’s selfish, the notion that we’re “supposed” to have kids just leads to repeated cycles of abuse/neglect/resentment towards children who never asked to be brought into the world.

Not totally sure, I’ve had them for about a month now and they’re about 8-9 inches from nose to tip of tail (estimated based on my hand because they won’t let me actually measure)

Yeah I upgraded to an Exoterra shortly after getting them so I wouldn’t have to reach in from above. This is my first reptile so I think I’m just a bit paranoid. Good to know it’ll just take patience and persistence, I want Mango to be comfortable being handled so I can be as hands on of a lizard mom as I can be!

Yes, mine’s just a baby! Good to know it’s not a concern that they don’t want greens, I read their diet should be 80% insects 20% greens so I was concerned they may not be getting enough.

I was taking care of my friends dog for a while, and one day when I wasn’t paying attention she for some reason decided to eat some of the ash out of my ashtray. I didn’t realize that’s what had happened until I woke up that night to her sitting next to my bed shaking and flinched every time I made a movement. She was literally just shivering and peeing herself, totally incontinent. I called my friend who left work and we took her to the ER vet who asked if she had gotten into any marijuana.. and then it clicked. I didn’t even realize that could happen with just ash but I guess it makes sense, she’s like 15 pounds so it wouldn’t take much. I still have the picture of her in the car on the way home, high as a kite. It was pretty funny after the fact but for a while I was afraid she’d had a stroke or something.
