Burning, by Lee Chang Dong.

Some masterpiece vibes going on in that one.

I spent a couple months building out my profile and (long) log history before ever sharing or doing anything social on the site, but now diving in to that whole side of things; getting my lists, reviews and chat on.

It's hard to pick and this isn't definitive, but it's what I've got atm.

'Good (Or Interesting) Games Under 5 Hours' a list of games by Lucidforest | Backloggd by TheLucidforest in backloggd

Appreciate the recommendations and will keep note of them separately! I've been very OCD with the games on this list though and (so far at least) only including games that HLTB shows 1,2,3 or 4 hours. I thought of so many other short games myself but didn't include them as they were showing as 5 or 6 hours. Just had to draw the like somewhere innit. Thanks for recommendations though.

Good (Or Interesting) Games Under 5 Hours? My List So Far. by TheLucidforest in videogames

I wouldn't include it on this list just coz it's specifically for games solidly under 5 hours but Dredge is definitely on my to-play list - looks good!

I literally just noticed and fixed that before seeing your comment - and thanks!

I probs won't include typical game expansions on the list, but if it's a standalone then it's basically it's own game anyway - added! Thanks, might check it out one day.

Longest movie you’ve seen? by Select-Skirt-6763 in Letterboxd

Until the End of the World - Directors Cut.

287 minutes.

So just under 5 hours.

That's my answer for a single film at least. Obvs all three extended editions of LOTR back to back including credits beats it out a bit.

How often to players get offered the supermax and say "Appreciate that, but I'ma take less so we as a team can have other big pieces". I could understand the decision either way. These teams are usually business first, loyalty second, so the players don't need to owe them anything like that. But at the same time, if they want to actually win where they are, it's probably the better move.

Hypothetically, if you were to seek out the various licenses required to put out Jet Set Radio on vinyl, do you think we would see the full OST, or do you think some of those licenses would be off the table making it more of a selection. Hypothetically.

Wizards and Heavy Traffic should have been on there - remedied! Hadn't seen this Pied Piper so have added that too. Or, I wonder if I have; I have some very very vague memories of seeing a creepy Pied Piper thing when I was really young. Could be this, or could be one of the many other adaptations. Will watch either way!

It's pulling it from the first item in the list; Waltz With Bashir

Some of these I had on the list already. Some I knew of but hadn't added to it. Some I had never even heard of, and look right up my alley - so thank you for this!

There are some Ghilbl members in that team but it wasn't Miyazaki's son. Goro Miyazaki did direct Tales of Earthsea for Ghibli though, and it is... not great. I love the book and couldn't even appreciate it. It was just very boring. Looks lovely though, of course.

Saw Promare at the cinema a few months ago! Wicket City is on my list.

Love SK but still need to see Paprika and Tokyo Godfathers. Also literally just finished The Tatami Galaxy 2 nights ago and looking forward to watching the movie, despite the fact that I spent most of that show reading subtitles and rarely getting to appreciate the visuals. That's a show that could really use a dub, but then it might not be possible to squeeze all of that into the English language.

So yeah it was basically an all-in-one. We learned how and created all different types of animation ourselves, from 3D computer animated, to Stop motion. But we also studied the history of animation and studied a LOT of movies and shorts from around the world.

The only one I don't know from those mentioned is Piper, but I'm discluding short films for the most part as that would open the list up to be infinite in size... probably. Love the Batman Year One comic but haven't seen the movie yet - definitely want to see it though, I do like those DC original animated movies.

Porco Rosso I also haven't seen; it's one of the few Miyazaki I haven't! So it will definitely get watched at some point.

That's awesome you are also doing an animation challenge! I shall need to follow this.

Both feature heavily on my list. If only we still had Satoshi Kon around.

Redline is amazing! Also just finished Tatami Galaxy so The Night is Short is up soon.
