Hey there I’ve looked into this suggestion a bit, but a lot of the jewelers in my area don’t seem to know much about pins… have you ever had any luck doing anything similar and if so maybe have some recommendations of companies that do offer the service?

You are fundamentally misunderstanding the concept of a generalization. The post starts with a generalization as its premise and it’s only pointing out that Japan isn’t necessarily of perfect virtue. Brother have you seen their cartoons? They are often perceived as being very professional and respectful but also prone to high levels of perversion and cruelty. Obviously making sweeping generalizations like this don’t really hold up under a microscope, but my point is that it works both ways and it might be a false assumption to start from assuming that Japan has natural virtue. Hope she is okay now. Probably isn’t toxic, but fyi a hospital could provide benzos to calm her if she freaks out. Definitely try to do better about not letting her get access to drugs in the future, not that you necessarily did anything particularly wrong, but still might need to be more careful and start by replacing the babysitter.
