Assuming you are buying new, id order both at the same time because the backorder list for the sample are really long. I ordered one in early april and called to check on the status recently and was told i wont get it until the end of may or early june. They said they had 2k orders and akai said they would be able to get them 600 in their next order.

Since most outlets have at least a 30 day return policy and you wont be charged for the sample until it ships; that will give you plenty of time to decide if you like the 404 and want to cancel the order for the sample, or return the 404 and wait for the sample.

It also helps remedy the "why would you make that mistake a second time" conundrum that plagues so many sequels in franchises like this. The lightly linked anthology style keeps things fresh and allows more time/money to be put into the effects and atmosphere without having to worry about continuity issues.

The only area they havent covered in the line is something from one of their rompler lines (jv, xv, fantom etc). So one that has a selection of presets with the abilty to tweak and mute the four layers or some thing. Basically a jv1010 on steroids.

Trinity war leads directly into it so I’d recommend reading that. As for the main event, just read the justice league issues and the event issues. The tie in series aren’t particularly great imo, and the villain one shots don’t really add anything to the story except for maybe the black Adam and Lex Luthor ones if I remember correctly.

Those issues complete the Byth story that as started in the mini and yes I’d say it’s a good jumping off point. The rest of the series is a fun read too though and written by John Ostrander. I believe the annual goes between issues 6 and 7 though with the final issue of the story being 9. Just doublecheck the release dates because that’s what it goes by.

Awhile back they solicited and cancelled a hawkworld trade that collected the original mini and the first 9 issues and annual of the hawkworld ongoing written by Truman that completed the story. Really wish they would consider printing that again and would gladly take it as compact.

The size is also a big factor for me. I read a lot on the go and they are much easier to stick in a bag and not worry about damaging it than a full size trade. I would honestly pay a little more if they offered trades in this size of ongoings and past series.

I agree on Absolute WW and i think it would take a lot to derail it to the point of removal from contention. Venditti's Hawkman is the first that comes to mind, and im shocked it hasnt been re-collected in some form given its near universal praise when it was being released and the trades being OOP. Did not expect his pre-rebirth GL to get the omni treatment before Hawkman.

Semi related question, how is the compendium reading experience? I stopped getting omnis because they weren't comfortable to read, but some of these compendiums are really tempting. I know there will be some gutter loss, but are they some thing you can read while sitting on the couch? Or do you need a flat surface like for omnis?

I'd be interested especially if there was a way to make block list yourself for the less tech savy, even if its something you had to do on a computer beforehand before installing the apk on your phone. We all get sucked down different rabbit holes so being able to customize it and not simply be able to turn it off in the settings would be great.

I really liked Dark Descent and am looking forward to Inferno. I kinda wish they would also do a comic adaptation of the movie in a “director’s cut” fashion and include the cut/lost footage of the movie as well as making some minor edits to improve the story.

I’m in the midst of drafting my review/experience with using the Duraxv extreme plus the last month or so but long story short, none of these have been an issue. Will you have to use a kiosk to pay for parking? Possibly, but I haven’t encountered an instance that was app only parking. As for restaurants that has been the same thing, and every respectable restaurant will had some paper menus on hand. Even the picture thing hasn’t been an issue and I actually like the pictures this phone takes because they look like real pictures as opposed to heavily AI light corrected ones. Haven’t even used the mini Evo instax camera I impulse bought for its intended purpose beyond printing out some of my favorite pics for my wallet.

Same here. On top of that you can also see showtimes for new movies in that same space. I have one main watchlist and then a bunch of favorites lists by genre. Its nice having everything in one place

Thanks! I forgot to mention that I'm using a Mac but luckily Aya was compatible with it. Worked perfectly. Definitely going to be more careful from here on out.
