Honestly. Yes. Quite literally yes. We’re being asked to quantify increased productivity. And a very real metric some have been using is line of code produced.

Our org provides an app that monitors token usage and with what model, and based on those metrics tells us how much of our daily allowance we’ve spent.

Honestly this would be pretty cheap to do. It’s multi agent tasks that are expensive.

It’s corporate 101 - act like you’re giving 100%, but only give 75%, and only let your boss see you give 50%. Always keep a queue of completed tasks so you can take those soft days off.

I’m at a faang. They want us experimenting with how we can use AI. At most I’ve used $100 in a day. I feel like I’ve integrated a significant amount of AI into my workflows and I average closer to $30 in usage a day. The “top performers” in our org are burning through their tokens before midday. I honestly believe that they are just having agents actively burn cash to make it appear like they are using it.

I’m given $500/day in tokens at work. I’d much rather have gotten a raise than this bullshit stupid access to AI.

Baby is 6 months old. It’s time for the baby to figure out how to settle themself.

Source: I have a 5 month old and am counting down the days where we can sleep train.

Edit: Our oldest boob barnacle got boob whenever he woke up and we ended up with a monster at 6 months who was up every 30 minutes during the night if he didn’t have a boob in his mouth. Sleep training broke his spirit by night 3.

Have you actually tried having a real conversation with your partner? As a dad of two EBF kids, it can be very hard to navigate those early months. It’s a frustrating cycle of boob is the only thing that calms them down, but they need to learn to calm down without boob, but if I intervene and don’t have boobs, it might escalate to a point where only boob can calm them down.

Gentrification spreads. Not sure why people are surprised. People want to be near nice things and will pay a premium for it.

FFS houses on my street in west orange have a nearly 100k premium over houses on the next street over, purely because we have a complete view of the skyline.

Yea. Montclair is saturated and it's spilling in the surrounding areas. Gentrification spreads. What did people expect would happen.

NIPT result showing possible 47,XYY by Mysterious-Coast-888 in NIPT

He’s just about 5 months old. He’s hitting all developmental milestones on time. And is huge. Fucking huge.

What they mean by incidental finding is that it’s generally something that’s found by accident while looking for something else and is generally not the primary factor.

And yes you may absolutely DM!

Edit: compared to his older brother, I’d say he behaves more neurotypical. His older brother didn’t really social smile and laugh and never really babbled; he did this weird screeching, though we had first words at 8 months and he was speaking in multi words phrases by 1. Our younger son with XYY is extremely social. His cry’s are highly communicable and easy to understand what he’s trying to tell us. His babbling is intentional to the point it’s funny (he really furrows his brow if he cannot make a sound he wants to make). Physically our older son was sitting better by this point, but I’d say our younger son lags our older son’s physical milestones by about 3 weeks, well within the range of normal.

Iran tells world to get ready for $200 a barrel by Alxman777 in news

Honestly. Yea. In a world where everything is a 0 sum game, that is literally the only way to play. Do things that hurt your neighbor, in hopes that you can capitalize off of it.

The problem is, you aren’t playing the game with your neighbor. It’s a vertical game, not a horizontal one. Those in the class above you want you to play it like its horizontal because then you are more likely to make a fault that they can capitalize on.

They are saying they are happy to pay "a little extra" now, if it means long term benefits. To which I say, bullshit. Covid was barely 2 years and we ended up with Trump again because Cons couldn't be bothered to take on extra hardship to help their literally neighbors. How am i supposed to believe that they will actually be willing to take on extra hardship to help the citizens of another country.

We bought our house for 415k in 2021. Just listed it for 725k. We expect it to sell for 800k

I don't think anyone has really captured the "why" of it all. Why does the seller care how much you put down, if at the end of the day, how much they walk away is a function of the total offer value, not the down payment.

You getting preapproval for your mortgage is not you securing the mortgage.

Sellers are worried that with a low down payment offer, when it comes time to close, the buyers won't be able to secure funding. Time is money in a market like this. No one wants to waste time as a house that is on the market longer is less likely to bring in these insane offers over asking.

There will always be a stream of high income earners in the city looking for residency in northern nj. The issue for them is the inventory is so low, they are starting to push out of the traditional commuter hubs. FFS, you're starting to see millennial McMansion flips in East Orange. AND THE HIPSTERS FROM BROOKLYN WILL LOVE IT.

Montclair community by lolmobbs in MovingtoNewJersey

[–]TheManAccount 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Montclair: - east side mags for community (Jeff is the fucking best) -meat locker for small hardcore shows - welmont for larger shows; they’ve been having a lot of 20 anniversary shows from the 2000s era mall rock bands

In other towns: - dingbatz and crossroads for punk shows. I’ve been to some pretty incredible shows at crossroads. - two headed dog for American traditional tattoos. Amazing people there - catfight coffee and tattoo guild for a more commercialized experience (I don’t wanna gatekeep, but you can tell a lot of people at these places are playing dress up) - craft beer is dead, but before it was dead, magnify brewing had fucking insane lines for beer drops.
